In Fig . 2 ist eine bestehende Hochwasserschutzwand 10 dargestellt, die um den erfindungsgemäßen Notfalldammbalken 1 erweitert ist. Die dargestellte Hochwasserschutzwand 10 umfasst eine Stütze 11, die vorliegend als Doppel-T-Profil ausgeführt ist. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine sog . Mittelstütze, die mit dem Boden 12 verankert wird . Wie in Fig . 2 dargestellt weist die Hochwasserschutzwand 10 pro Seite jeweils zwei Dammbalken 13 auf, die eine spezifische Höhe haben. Der jeweils obere Dammbalken 13 ist mit einer Spannvorrichtung 14 fixiert. Die Spannvorrichtung ist dabei innerhalb der U-förmig ausgebildeten Führung der Stütze 11 angeordnet. Für gewöhnlich bietet eine derartige Hochwasserschutzwand 10 einen ausreichenden Schutz vor einer Überschwemmung . Allerdings hat sich in der Vergangenheit des Öfteren gezeigt, dass die bestehenden Systeme überflutet werden können . Um den betreffenden Ort dennoch weiterhin zu schützen, wird die Höhe bestehender Systeme hilfsweise mit Sandsäcken aufgestockt. Mit Hilfe des erfindungsgemäßen Notfalldammbalkens 1 können solche bestehenden Systeme spontan um eine spezifische Höhe, beispielsweise 20 cm, schnell und einfach erweitert werden . Hierzu wird der erfindungsgemäße Notfalldammbalken 1 auf die oberen Dammbalken aufgesetzt. Mit einem passenden Fixiermittel 15 sowie einer Fixierplatte 16 können - sofern eine Fixierung an einer Mittelstütze erfolgen soll - zwei Notfalldammbalken 1 an der bestehenden Hochwasserschutzwand 10 fixiert werden .
