Therefore, the member for rotational movement of the handle 16 can be arranged in the dead space between the main members of the sander 1, and the sander 1 becomes compact while the rotatable handle 16 is provided.
- the handle 16 is rotatable around the pin 130, and a convex portion provided on the handle 16 and the main body 18 (the peaks of the left face splines 113 and 123 and the peaks of the right face splines 117 and 127).
- the handle 16 and the recesses (the valleys of the left face splines 113 and 123 and the valleys of the right face splines 117 and 127) provided in the handle 16 and the main body 18 are engaged with each other. It is fixed in the posture. Therefore, the handle 16 is securely fixed in each of various postures (stepped postures in which the left face splines 113 and 123 are engaged and the right face splines 117 and 127 are engaged).
- the sander 1 is mounted on the main body 18 with the motor 20 and a part of the outer surface (front surface, left surface, right surface, upper surface) as an exposed surface, and the battery 14 serving as a power source for the motor 20. And a rear projecting portion 60 provided so as to project rearward from the upper portion of the main body portion 18 and capable of being gripped, and the battery 14 is mounted on the front portion of the main body portion 18. Therefore, in the sander 1, the portion that can be gripped by the rear protrusion 60 becomes longer in the front-rear direction and the operability is good, and the battery mounting portion 13 is disposed on the opposite side of the rear protrusion 60, and the rear It becomes compact while the protrusion 60 is provided.
- a switch 62 that switches a power supply state to the motor 20 is disposed between the rear upper portion of the main body 18 and the upper portion of the rear protrusion 60. Therefore, the switch 62 is disposed between the upper portion of the main body 18 and the upper portion of the rear projecting portion 60 that are easy to grip in the sander 1, and the switch 62 is disposed in an easy-to-operate state. Furthermore, a rear opening 76 into which the front end of the dust collecting nozzle 78 can be inserted is formed in the lower rear part of the main body 18.
- the dust collection nozzle 78 extends below the rear projection 60 projecting rearward, the sander 1 when the dust collection nozzle 78 is connected is compact, and the dust collection nozzle 78 obstructs the gripping or operation of the sander 1. It is hard to become.
- the rear protrusion 60 is large enough to be wrapped with one hand. Therefore, the rear protrusion 60 becomes easier to handle.
- the handle may be immovable or may be moved by sliding.
- the movement of the handle includes rotational movement, sliding movement, or a combination thereof.
- the pin (support shaft) may face a direction other than the left-right direction, or may be arranged at a position other than between the battery and the motor.
- the battery can be installed by sliding it back and forth in the front-and-rear direction with the terminal facing downward, or by sliding it in the other direction, or by placing it in a battery-equipped battery compartment with or without a lid. Or mounted on the side or rear.
- the rear projecting portion of the main body portion may be omitted.
- the rear protrusion may not be a part of the first gripping part.
- Both the left and right end portions of the handle are not arranged on the inner side in the left-right direction than the left and right end portions of the polishing portion, and only one of them may be arranged on the inner side, or both may not be arranged on the inner side.
- the handle and the main body after the movement are fixed in place of the face spline or together with the small projections (convex portions) arranged in the circumferential direction and the small holes (concave portions) for receiving the corresponding small projections, or in contact with each other.
- the exhaust port, the intake port, etc. may be composed of a single slit, the number of slits may be increased or decreased, the arrangement of a plurality of slits may be arranged in the vertical direction, etc.
- the shape, size, arrangement, etc. may be changed, such as to be used, to occupy a narrower range, to be one of the left and right, or to be provided in an asymmetrical position, The shape and size can be changed from others.
- the blade portion having a plurality of blades may be single without being divided into upper and lower, or a fan of a type other than the centrifugal fan may be used.
- Battery pawls, dust collection nozzles, etc. are omitted, the number of various bearings, screws and buttons is increased, triggers and levers are used instead of buttons, belts and pulleys are replaced with gears, screws are rivets
- the function, arrangement, type, and number of various members may be changed as appropriate, such that the battery can be charged in a sander equipped with a battery, or a fully used battery is used.
- the present invention can be applied not only to a sander (orbital sander) that undergoes only revolution (eccentric rotation) in the polishing section, but also to a sander (random orbital sander) that rotates with revolution, such as a polisher or a grinder. It can be applied to other portable polishing machines.
