- arithmetic average roughness indicates an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) measured using a surface roughness meter under measurement conditions in accordance with ISO1997.
- compression recoverability refers to reproducibility to compression.
- the compression duplexing is performed by compressing a test sample, which is a filter wound with an outer wrapper, in a diametric direction to a compressive load of 2.5 N in the diametrical direction using a cylindrical plunger having a diameter of 10 mm, and compressing the test sample in a diameter direction. It is calculated from the compression deformation amount-compression restoring force curve obtained when the operation is stopped and the shape of the test sample is restored.
- the amount of compressive deformation is the amount of deformation [mm] of the diameter of the test sample compressed by the compressive load.
- the compression deformation amount-compression restoring force curve is measured using, for example, a rheometer.
- Figure 1 shows that after compressing the test sample in the diametrical direction to the compression load of 2.5N at the set speed (curve AB), the compression operation is stopped and the shape is restored until the restoring force from the test sample reaches 0N.

Abstract
