Abstract

The invention relates to an internally threaded heating device with a thermocouple, formed by a thermocouple and a heating resistor that can have different forms, such as (fig. 5a) a tube, (fig. 5b) a wire coil, (fig. 5c) a printed resistor, (fig. 5d) a band heater or positive-temperature-coefficient (PTC) thermistor. The various types of resistor and the thermocouple (fig. 24) surround (fig. 10) a metal piece (fig. 6) that acts as a support. An internal drill hole (fig. 7) is made in the metal piece and then a determined thread (fig. 8) is made in the hole, producing an internally threaded cylinder (fig. 9). The assembly is coated (fig. 11) with a metallic or ceramic flux material to produce better contact between the resistor and the threaded cylinder, the power cables and the thermocouple cables being left uncoated, the assembly forming an internally threaded heated piece having infinite internal and external dimensions, depending on the diameter of the threaded bar to be heated. The internally threaded heating device with a thermocouple, for threaded bars, can be used in industry to replace current methods for heating threaded bars, for example 3D-printing extruders that have a threaded bar through the inside of which solid plastic moves, the plastic being heated to transform into a liquid, the extruders comprising a block with cartridge resistors and thermocouples, separately, to heat the plastic.
