Abstract

"Tongs for Chicken Pieces" is a kitchen and table utensil, suitable for use in restaurants or at home in specific moments of tasting chicken pieces. As the chicken pieces are usually misshapen, fatty and slippery, people can hold them with this "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" and conduct them to the mouth without the risk of the chicken pieces escaping from the tongs. Their use prevents people from getting their hands greasy if they want to taste chicken pieces directly into the mouth. The movements of the gripping ends, on whose edges contain pointed or rounded teeth, can be made by bent, cast, or injected stems, or stems with joints made by fulcrum pins at the ends (such as tweezers) or at the central part of these stems (such as scissors or pliers).

DESCRIPTION
TONGS FOR CHICKEN PIECES
01 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" refers to a kitchen and table utensil appropriate for use in restaurants or homes, especially in times of serving and tasting chicken pieces (1 ) (2) contained in meals.
02 - The utensil or tool called "tongs", regardless of their form of construction, are is widely used in all areas of human activities, whether personal or industrial, such as in the metallurgical, mechanical, electrical, electronics, pharmaceutical, food industries etc. Their use is usually in order to avoid human contact with some objects, substances or environments, usually because of contamination by contact or because of health hazards of such situations, such as high or low temperatures, fire, dirt, oil, corrosive substances, environment contamination, electricity or any other such situation.
03 - In relation to the gripping ends (3) of the utensil tongs, they can have the most varied forms possible to adapt to the objects that they will pick up, hold, move, rotate or transport. In fact, the shapes of the gripping ends are what determines the use of the tongs, since the stems (4), which support and move these gripping ends, are common to all. In others words, the various forms of the gripping ends were developed precisely to suit various applications proposed for the tongs.
04 - In our case we will adhere to the use of the utensil "tongs" only in the food area, more exactly in the consumption of foods. In the preparation and consumption of the foods the "tongs" can be multipurpose, gripping, holding, moving, rotating and transporting bread, ice, pastas, cold cuts, salads, sausages, cheeses, fruit, olives, fish, meat, barbecued foods, vegetables, sugar, napkins etc. (5). Japanese cuisine uses the "hashi", chopsticks, which is a special type of tongs usually made of two wooden, plastic or metal shafts, manipulated by one hand.
05 - In the same way as previously mentioned, in the preparation and consumption of foods in Food Courts the "Tongs" serve to avoid human contact with the foods in order to avoid contamination of these foods or even avoid soiling the hands of the people.
06 - Relating to just food consumption, despite all the diversity embodied in dozens of "tongs" that exist in the Food Courts, given the state of today's technology, there are no specific and appropriate "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" that allow people to pick up a piece of chicken, with firmness, rigidity and stability (1 ) (2) and safley conduct it to the mouth or hold it to be deboned, without the risk of going through embarrassment with the piece of chicken jumping from the "tongs". That's because the chicken pieces are usually misshapen, fatty and slippery.
07 - Complementing Item 06, within public knowledge there are only tongs for chicken meat handling in the preparation of that food on barbecue grills and in pans, but nothing specific to be used at meal time that allows people to pick up a chicken piece with firmness, rigidity, stability (1 ) (2) and conduct it to the mouth to be tasted or even to be deboned.
08 - And this truth about the state of the technology is very easy to be found. Simply access internet search sites and enter "tongs for chicken pieces". In this research will verified that, given the state of today's technology, no specific "tongs" appear being used to safely pick up a piece of chicken and conduct it to the mouth at meal time. This is because the piece of chicken is usually misshapen, fatty and slippery. Searching for "eating chicken" we can see that people appear holding chicken pieces with their hands in order to conduct them to the mouth, but no specific "tongs" are seen intermediating the contact between one's hands and the chicken pieces in this tasting situation. This is because, in the state of today's technology, there are no specific "tongs" utensil to pick up a piece of chicken and conduct it to the mouth, firmly and securely, for tasting.
09 - This "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" were created to solve all these problems and the goal of which is to offer an alternative for people who like to pick up the chicken pieces with their hands, enabling them, with this our "tongs", to pick up a piece of chicken safely and firmly with rigidity and stability, to conduct it to the mouth at the moment of tasting. Or even to hold a piece of chicken to be deboned, without the risk of that piece of chicken slipping away from control (1 ) (2). Besides being useful in tasting or in the deboning of chicken pieces, this "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" were also built to prevent people from touching the chicken pieces and getting their hands greasy.
10 - This "Tongs for Chicken Pieces," which serve the function of holding the misshapen, fatty and slippery chicken pieces steadily and firmly, with rigidity and stability, will ensure that lovers of chicken meat can enjoy their tasting directly in the mouth, without fear or embarrassment. On the other hand, the practicality of this "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" makes this tool helpful also for people who prefer to eat chicken with a knife and fork. This utensil can be used to hold the piece of chicken with firmness, rigidity and stability, while the person uses the fork or knife to separate the meat from the bone. A need that the current "tongs" on the market can not provide with proper safety and practicality.
1 1 - What gives this our "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" the technical condition of providing a secure firm, rigid and stable grip on the chicken pieces, which are often misshapen, fatty and slippery, is that they possess teeth with pointed or rounded ends, located at the edge of the elliptical (6) (7) or rectangular base (8) (9), or other gripping end shape; teeth which are perpendicular to the plane of the gripping ends (3) (6) (8 ). These gripping ends that have the functions of, on being closed, penetrating their pointed or rounded teeth into the chicken meat (1 ) (2). In addition to serving for penetration into the fleshy part of the chicken pieces, these teeth function as limiting points to stop lateral movement of the bones of these chicken pieces upon closing of the gripping ends.
12 - The gripping ends (3), with their pointed or rounded teeth tips, perpendicular to its plane and the stems (4) can be made of metals, plastics or silicones. The "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" can also be constructed from a stem made from a bent metal plate, whose ends of the stem are parallel or almost so (4). The fulcrum of the movement of the gripping ends is located at the fold. The force application point for securing a piece of chicken lies between the bend and the ends of the stems where gripping ends are located.
13 - The "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" can also be constructed from a casted stems or injected into the bent form (10), whose stems are in parallel, or almost so. The gripping ends, made of metals, plastics or silicones and their pointed or rounded teeth perpendicular to its plane, are fixed at the end of these stems, which also can be made of metals, plastics or silicones. The fulcrum of the movement of these gripping ends is located in the bend of the stems. The force application point for securing an object is located between the fold and the ends of the molten or injected stems where the gripping ends are located.
14 - The "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" can also be constructed from two stems made of metals, plastics or silicones and interconnected by a fulcrum pin hinged at one of the ends (1 1 ). The gripping ends, made of metals, plastics or silicones and with their pointed or rounded teeth perpendicular to its plane, are inserted into the other ends of these stems, which may have open or closed positions. The fulcrum of the movement of these gripping ends is located in the pivot pin at the junction stems. The return movement to the open position can be provided by elastic elements or springs. 15 - The "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" can also be made of two stems of metal, plastic or silicone, connected by a central fulcrum pin, such as in scissors or pliers (12). In this type of tongs a force application point for securing a piece of chicken is located at one end of the stems and gripping ends of metal, plastic or silicone, with their pointed or rounded teeth, perpendicular to its plane, are located on the other ends of these same stems, which can be in an open or closed position. The return movement to the open position can be provided by elastic elements or springs.
Description of the Invention Utility Model
16 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", composed of stems and gripping ends, can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, has its use characterization demonstrated in its practical utilization in (1 ) (2).
17 - For items 12, 13, 14 and 15 above, one can see that the "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" is a "Tongs" tool, constructed from a laminated bent stems or curved stems molten, injected or two stems interconnected by a hinged fulcrum pin placed at the end of the stems or a fulcrum pin hinged placed in the central portion thereof, with gripping ends (3) with their pointed or rounded teeth perpendicular to its plane, located at the free ends of these stems. Note that the stems (4), bent, molten or injected, or those stems interconnected by articulated fulcrums pin are elements common to all "Tongs" known in the market.
18 - What differentiates the "Tongs" existing in the market and this particular "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" is fundamentally the way in which the gripping ends are designed, as mentioned in item 1 1 above. In the case of our specific "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", their main characteristic, which is the subject of this application for a Utility Model Patent, is to have gripping ends possessing pointed or rounded teeth perpendicular to the virtual plane of these gripping ends, teeth which are situated on the edge of an elliptical (3) (7) or rectangular (9) base or other shaped gripping ends, these being with a concave (spoon- shaped) or flat bottom. Note that the teeth of gripping end, in addition to being perpendicular to these virtual planes, are pointed towards the teeth of the other gripping end (3) (6) (8).
19 - When they are activated, these gripping ends move towards each other until they are close, but without an effective contact. In this situation the teeth of the gripping ends overlap, as if they were canine teeth (fangs) of carnivorous animals when these animals close their mouth.
20 - The function of these pointed or rounded teeth is to perforate and secure the fleshy part of the chicken piece, as well as establish limits to, and locking of, any lateral movements of the bones of the chicken pieces that, in this situation, will be situated between these pointed or rounded teeth of the gripping ends (1 ) (2). If a virtual plane were traced from where the base of the gripping end sits, either elliptical, rectangular or otherwise, concave or flat, the common point is that the teeth in question will be settled in a virtual plane absolutely perpendicular to the virtual plane of the gripping end bases. This means that the virtual planes where the teeth of gripping ends are seated are parallel to each other. Visually we can observe that the teeth, as if they were arrows, are pointing toward each other (7) (9).
21 - The existence of pointed or rounded teeth perpendicular to the planes of gripping ends is, therefore, the fundamental and independent characteristic that differentiates this specific "Tongs for Chicken Pieces" from the "Tongs" known in the current state of the technology. None of the "Tongs" available on the market today consists of gripping ends having the pointed or rounded teeth, located perpendicularly on the edges of these gripping ends (7) (9), where they are seated in parallel planes in relation to the teeth of the other gripping ends (6) (8).

Claims

TONGS FOR CHICKEN PIECES
01 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones and are intended to grip and firmly hold the chicken pieces in order to bring them to the mouth for direct tasting, belong to the family of food tongs, which may have teeth but are never absolutely perpendicular to the planes of the gripping ends, that move opening and closing, are characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of the gripping ends (3), these teeth are in absolute perpendicularity to the plane of the gripping ends (7) (9), where the teeth of one gripping end are seated in planes parallel to the planes of the teeth of the other gripping end (6) (8).
02 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendiculars to the plane of these gripping ends, which are made in concave elliptical shape (6) (7).
03 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendicular to the plane of these gripping ends, which are made in a flat elliptical shape.
04 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendicular to the plane of these gripping ends, which are made in a concave retangle shape (8) (9).
05 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendiculars to the plane of these gripping ends, which are made in a flat retangle shape.
06 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendicular to the plane of these gripping ends, that are made in an elliptical or rectangle shape, which are connected to the ends of a laminated bent stem or cast or injected (4) (10).
07 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendicular to the plane of these gripping ends, that are made in elliptical or rectangle shape, which are connected to the ends of two articulated stems, connected to each other by a fulcrum pin at their other ends (1 1 ).
08 - "Tongs for Chicken Pieces", which can be made of metals, plastics or silicones, according to Claim 01 , characterized by having several pointed or rounded teeth located at the edges of their gripping ends (3) and perpendicular to the plane of these gripping ends, that are made in elliptical or rectangle shape, which are connected to the ends of two articulated stems, connected by a fulcrum pin in middle of these rods, as in scissors or pliers (12).
