Definitions

  • the lifting arms comprise a pair of essentially parallel lifting arms that are united with a protruding lifting arm through an angled member, whereby the parallel lifting arms are arranged by means of the angled member and a quadruple-joint mechanism that is formed together with this such that they can be folded relative to the protruding lifting arm such that they are folded together when in the condition above the truck with the parallel lifting arms and the protruding lifting arm lying one above the other, while they are extended in order to lift a load that is located behind the truck in order to extend behind the truck with a length that is essentially double the length that the lifting arms have when they are folded.

It is preferable that the angled member 15 and the protruding lifting arm 16 are manufactured as one piece.
  • the two essentially parallel lifting arms 13, 14 together with their attachments at the tower member 12 and the angled member 15 form a quadruple-joint mechanism 12-15.
  • the parallel lifting arm 14 is arranged such that it can be rotated at both the tower member 12 and the angled member 15, the essentially parallel lifting arm 14 can be displaced and in this way the complete assembly - consisting of the two essentially parallel lifting arms 13, 14, the angled member 15, the protruding lifting arm 16 and lifting beam 8 that is connected to it - can be displaced forwards and backwards relative to the fixed attachment part 9 and thus also the loading bed 3, whereby also the height of the transverse lifting beam 8 is changed through the motion of the lifting arms 13, 14, 16.
  • the loading device 6 is, however, not limited to solely being able to lift EU pallets with their load: it can lift all material that can be lifted with the aid of the lifting hook 20 or other lifting means, and for which the size of the loading bed 3 is sufficient, such as, for example, sacks, bales, snowmobiles and other machines.
  • the lifting hook 20 is in this case lowered on the wire 19 with the aid of the winch unit 18 to a height at which the lifting hook 20 can hold the material, and the lifting hook 20 is subsequently winched somewhat up with the aid of the winch unit 18 in order to lift the material from the ground, before the lifting arm system 7 is activated to move the load in over the loading bed 3.
  • the lifting means may support also other arrangements for the management of loads, such as, for example, a lifting fork to lift pallets, or even a bucket for the lifting of material in bulk.
