Abstract
The present disclosure provides a composition and method for whitening and restoring natural tooth color, and a composition for application to a skin cell, or a portion of an area of skin. Tooth whitening is a common procedure in general dentistry. It has become desirable for a person's teeth to appear white. Teeth can become stained by food and drink products, including tobacco, vegetables, coffee, tea, and wine. Teeth can also become stained by certain medications. Whitening agents can help remove stains on teeth. Flavorings may be used to add scent, flavor, and color to whitening agents to make the whitening compositions more desirable. A composition of the current disclosure may be applied to a skin cell, or a portion of an area of skin. The composition may decrease the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and make a portion of skin appear to be more radiant. A composition of the current disclosure may be used on a skin condition, wherein the skin condition can be cause by a bacterium, a virus, an allergic reaction, or a weakened immune system.

PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS: KIT AND METHODS OF USE AND MAKING
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] Tooth whitening is a common procedure in general dentistry. Whitening restores natural tooth color. It has become desirable for a person's teeth to appear white. Teeth can become stained by food and drink products, including tobacco, vegetables, coffee, tea, and wine. Teeth can also become stained by certain medications. Whitening agents can help remove stains on teeth. Flavorings may be used to add scent, flavor, and color to whitening agents to make the whitening compositions more desirable.

The composition may decrease the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and make a portion of skin appear to be more radiant. [0004] An aspect of the present disclosure provides a composition for whitening a tooth surface comprising a whitening agent, a sugar, a salt, coconut oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil and peppermint oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises castor oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises squalane oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises hemp oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises black seed oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises black currant oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises rose hip oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises jojoba oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises sesame oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises apricot oil. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises avocado oil. In some embodiments, the sugar is selected from the group consisting of glucose, fructose, sucrose, erythritol, maltitol, xylitol and any combination thereof. In some embodiments, the sugar is xylitol. In some embodiments, the salt is a sea salt. In some embodiments, the cinnamon oil, the clove oil, and the peppermint oil are in a ratio of about 1 : 1 : 1. In some embodiments, the cinnamon oil, the clove oil, and the peppermint oil are in a ratio of about 1 :2:3. In some embodiments, the cinnamon oil, the clove oil, and the peppermint oil are in a ratio of about 2: 1 :3. In some embodiments, the cinnamon oil, the clove oil, and the peppermint oil are in a ratio of about 3:1:2.

In some embodiments, the composition is packaged into a container selected from the group consisting of a tube, ajar, and a vial. In some embodiments, the tube contains information describing directions for use.

1. A composition for whitening a tooth surface comprising: a whitening agent, a sugar, a salt, coconut oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil and peppermint oil.

4. The composition of claim 1, wherein said composition further comprises hemp oil.

The composition of claim 76, wherein said at least one molecule comprising an oxo group, an acidic group, and at least 4 carbons, ester thereof, salt thereof, or any combination thereof, is selected from the group consisting of octyl palmitate, argireline, hyaluronic acid, soy lecithin, carbomer, sodium CI 4- 16 olefin sulfonate, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid, disodium cocyl glutamate, polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, cetyl dimethicone, hexyl laurate, and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate.
162. The composition of claim 76, comprising about 3 volume % of octyl palmitate, wherein said volume % is based on a total volume % of the composition.
163. The composition of claim 76, comprising about 4 volume % of octyl palmitate, wherein said volume % is based on a total volume % of the composition.
164. The composition of claim 76, comprising about 1 volume % of stearic acid, wherein said volume % is based on a total volume % of the composition.

176. The composition of claim 76, further comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of a fragrance, a dye, a preservative, a protein, and a stabilizing agent.

The composition of claim 76, wherein said fragrance is selected from the group consisting of fragrance citrus punch, fragrance clean linen, fragrance coconut, fragrance coconut lime verbena, fragrance coral reef, fragrance lemon verbena, fragrance mandarin-berry, fragrance mangosteen, fragrance neroli, fragrance peppermint oil, fragrance pineapple lily, fragrance sweet orange essential oil, fragrance tea tree essential oil, fragrance vanilla grapefruit, fragrance white peach & ginger, and fragrance white tea.
178. The composition of claim 76, wherein said dye is selected from the group consisting of D&C Red Nos. 2, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 30, 34, D&C Yellow No. 5, D&C Blue No. 1, a metal oxide, and a metal hydroxide.
179. The composition of claim 76, wherein said preservative is selected from the group consisting of methylparaben, propylparaben, and butylparaben.
180. The composition of claim 76, further comprising at least one metal cation.
181. The composition of claim 76, wherein said at least one metal cation is selected from sodium, magnesium, calcium, or ammonium.
182. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is formulated into a topical solution, a lotion, a liquid, a cream, an ointment, a gel, a foam, a patch, a powder, onto a sponge, a paste, a tincture, an emulsion, or any combination thereof.
183. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is formulated into a cream, an ointment, or a gel.
184. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is formulated into a cream.
185. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is formulated into a gel.
186. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is homogeneous.
187. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is heterogeneous.
188. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition retains at least 80%, 85%, or 90% of said ingredients after placement in a sealed container for 6 months at a temperature of about 25 °C and a relative humidity level of about 50%.
189. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is contained in a kit.
190. The composition of claim 76, wherein said kit further comprises instructions for use.
191. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is packaged into a container selected from the group consisting of a tube, ajar, a vial, a bag, a tray, a drum, a bottle, a syringe, and a can.
192. The composition of claim 76, wherein said composition is packaged into a container selected from the group consisting of a tube, ajar, and a vial.
193. The composition of claim 76, wherein said tube contains information describing directions for use.
194. A method for treatment of a skin condition comprising contacting of a composition of any proceeding claim to a subject in need thereof.
195. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted with a skin cell.
196. The method of claim 194, wherein said skin cell is a human skin cell.
197. The method of claim 194, wherein said skin cell, an area of skin around said skin cell, or both, is first washed and dried before said contact.
198. The method of claim 194, wherein said skin cell is a skin cell of the face, neck, or hands.
199. The method of claim 194, wherein said skin cell is a skin cell of the face, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, or arms.
200. The method of claim 194, wherein said skin cell is a skin cell of the face.
201. The method of claim 194, wherein elasticity of said skin cell is enhanced, appearance of lines or wrinkles is decreased, said skin cell looks more radiant, makeup and impurities are removed, or combinations thereof, after said application.
202. The method of claim 194, wherein said elasticity or said appearance of lines or wrinkles is evaluated by taking before and after photographs.
203. The method of claim 194, further comprising application of an adhesive bandage to said area of skin after said contact.
204. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted for a period of time of at least 1 second.
205. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted for a period of time of at least 1 minute.
206. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted for a period of time of at least 1 hour.
207. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted at least once a day for a period of at least one week.
208. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted twice a day for a period of at least one week.
209. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is contacted twice a day for a period of at least one month.
210. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is applied using a brush, a sponge, a bare finger, a roller, an applicator, a cloth, gauze, cotton wool, via a spray bottle, or any combination thereof.
211. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is applied using a brush, a sponge, or a bare finger.
212. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is applied with water.
213. The method of claim 194, wherein said composition is washed off after said contact.
214. The method of claim 194, wherein said skin cell exhibits a symptom.
215. The method of claim 194, wherein said symptom is selected from the group consisting of a dry patch of skin, a wart, a bump, a dark spot, a colored speck, coloration of a patch of skin, peeling of skin, soreness of skin, an abnormal skin growth, a rash, an itch, scaly or rough skin, dry, cracked skin, chafing and peeling skin, open sores or lesions, changes in mole color or size, loss of skin pigment, excessive flushing with or without stimulus discolored patches of skin, and any combination thereof.
216. The method of claim 194, wherein said symptom is selected from the group consisting of a dry patch of skin, coloration of a patch of skin, peeling of skin, soreness of skin, a rash, an itch, scaly skin, rough skin,, and any combination thereof.
217. The method of claim 194, wherein said method reduces the appearance of said symptom.
218. The method of claim 194, wherein said method exhibits efficacy greater than about 50% compared to a method employing a composition comprising an ingredient selected from the group consisting of ammonium lactate and lactic acid.
219. The method of claim 194, wherein components in said composition act synergistically to reduce the appearance of said symptom.
220. The method of claim 194, wherein components in said composition act synergistically and have a combination index of less than 1.
221. The method of claim 194, wherein said subject is human.
222. The method of claim 194, wherein said subject has previously been treated for a medical condition via a medical procedure.
223. The method of claim 194, wherein said medical procedure is selected from the group consisting of radiation therapy, burn treatment, or chemotherapy.
224. A method of combining:
a) at least one plant, extract thereof, oil thereof, or a part thereof;
b) at least one molecule comprising one alcohol functional group and at least 8 carbons, or a salt thereof; or at least one molecule comprising at least two alcohol functional groups and 2 to 8 carbons, or a salt thereof;
c) at least one vitamin, or a salt thereof; and
d) at least one molecule comprising an oxo group, an acidic group, and at least 4 carbons, ester thereof, salt thereof, or any combination thereof.
225. The method of claim 194, wherein said method of combining is selected from the group consisting of mixing, blending, adding, stirring, and any combination thereof.
226. The method of claim 194, wherein said method of combining occurs for a period of time of at least 1 minute.
227. The method of claim 194, wherein said method of combining occurs for a period of time of at least 30 minutes.
