Definitions

  • the object of this invention is a modular bicycle lane separator, suitable for separating a bicycle lane from a vehicle lane, in order to protect cyclists.
  • This invention is applicable in the field dedicated to the manufacture of road safety elements, specifically in this case for the separation of bicycle lanes.
  • the modular bicycle lane separator object of this invention has constructive particularities oriented to solve the problem set forth above, comprising a plurality of parts that allow a modular, continuous or discontinuous separator to be formed, with a geometry differentiated by the sides facing the rail for bicycles and the vehicle lane, with in order to minimize the risk of accident for cyclists and to create more defined means of separation for vehicles.
  • Another object of the invention is to form the modular separator parts in a non-metallic material, preferably vulcanized rubber, which can minimize damage to cyclists in the event of an impact and that includes recycled materials in its composition, reducing manufacturing costs and providing environmental advantages.
