Abstract

The present invention relates to a skin lightening composition for topical application. The present invention provides for a composition that comprises specific fraction of peel of Mangiferia indica comprising higher than a certain percentage of alkyl resorcinol and less than a certain percentage of urshiols for enabling the skin lightening action.
