Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ofen für das hitzebedingte Aufschäumen von Partikeln eines Schüttgutes in welchen die aufzuschäumenden Partikel von oben in den Ofenraum (14) eingegeben werden, im Ofenraum (14) nach unten bewegt werden, dabei erhitzt und aufgebläht werden und durch eine am Boden des Ofenraumes (14) befindliche Entnahmeöffnung (4) entnommen werden, wobei das Volumen des Ofenraumes (14) durch eine äußere Schale (1) und eine innere Schale (2) begrenzt ist. Die innere Schale (2) ragt von oben her in das durch die äußere Schale (1) umfasste Volumen hinein. Die tiefste Stelle (2.1) der inneren Schale (2) liegt höher als der Boden der äußeren Schale (1) und das untere Ende des Ofenraums (14). Die innere Schale (2) ist unten geschlossen.
