3種類の溶液D、E、Fを滴下法でシームレスカプセル化し、それぞれのカプセルをX社製のタバコ(タール1mg、ニコチン0.1mg)のフィルターに内蔵した。そして、カプセルを潰した後に着火して被験者に喫味させるとともに、カプセルを内蔵していないX社製のタバコ(タール1mg、ニコチン0.1mg)を喫味させ、両者の味を比較した感想を図5にまとめた。なお、被験者は一般的な喫煙者100名である。
結果:図5に示すように、D、E、Fのいずれもタバコの香喫味を増強させる効果が得られたが、試験2の目的から判断してFが最適であることが判明した。Fは天然カカオ抽出物の配合比率が75%のものである。

被験者4:少しきついがこの位のタバコなら吸える
被験者5:きついが煙の香りは良かった
被験者6:タバコを吸っている感が久々に感じられた
被験者7:タールがきついが美味しかった
被験者8:残り感が低タールのタバコではなかった
被験者9:きつくて最後まで吸えなかった
被験者10:タールがきつかった
以上の結果から明らかなように、Fの溶液はタバコの香喫味を増強させる効果が得られることが判明した。

結果:結果は図7のとおりである。また、被験者のその他の感想は次のようなものであった。
被験者11:普通に吸える美味しいタバコだった…日常タール8mg喫煙者
被験者12:普通に吸えた…日常タール6mg喫煙者
被験者13:きつさがあって吸い応えがあった…日常タール6mg喫煙者
被験者14:普段がメンソール(を吸っている)なので強いタバコだった…日常タール8mg喫煙者
被験者15:のどに(きつさを)感じた…日常タール1mg喫煙者
被験者16:マイルドのタバコの味だった…日常タール10mg喫煙者
被験者17:香りはいいがタールは少し物足りない…日常タール12mg喫煙者
被験者18:吸い味の割に喫煙後の残り香が少なく良かった…日常タール6mg喫煙者
被験者19:もっと強いタバコが好きだ…日常タール9mg喫煙者
被験者20:口残りが他のタバコよりすっきりしていた…日常タール10mg喫煙者
以上の結果から明らかなように、タール1mg、ニコチン0.1mgのタバコでも、Fの溶液を使用することによりタバコの香喫味を増強させる効果が得られることが判明した。
