図中符号90は第5の磁気センサ部、91はGMR素子、91aはGMR素子91の第1部分、91bはGMR素子91の第2部分、91eはGMR素子91の第3部分、91fはGMR素子91の第4部分、92は一方の磁気収束板、92aは一方の磁気収束板92の第1部分、92bは一方の磁気収束板92の第2部分、93は他方の磁気収束板、93aは他方の磁気収束板93の第1部分、93bは他方の磁気収束板93の第2部分を示している。
また、第4の配置パターンを有する第5の磁気センサ部90には、第4の配置パターン内で接続された感磁部の一方の端と他方の端を直列に繋ぐことで第4の配置パターンを複数個隣接して配置出来るよう、GMR91eとGMR91bは直線的に接続されている。
また、第2の配置パターンを有する第2の磁気センサ部100には、第2の配置パターン内で接続された感磁部の一方の端と他方の端を直列に繋ぐことで第2の配置パターンを複数個隣接して配置出来るよう、GMR101bとGMR101eは直線的に接続されている。
このような構成により、第5のセンサ部90における抵抗変化Z1は、以下のよう関係式を有している。

したがって、Z1とZ2を演算すると、Z2-Z1=2dHzとなる。
このように、ByのX軸方向への変換を1方向にするため突起状の櫛状部分を1ピッチ以上広げた間隔にすると、演算でBz成分単独で信号を抽出することができる。
また、第5の磁気センサ部90の長手方向の軸と、第6の磁気センサ部100の長手方向の軸とが互いに平行で、かつ異なる軸上に設けることも出来る。
このような各X、Y、Z軸のセンサからの検出出力は組立た両端の抵抗を測定し、抵抗を後段のIC回路等で演算することで算出出来る。
また、本実施例では各GMR素子の両端に電極パッドを接続させているが、GND端子など共通出来る端子は共用することも可能である。
図16を用いてX軸センサ180の構造を説明した図であるXセンサ180はGMR素子51および、一方の磁気収束板52、および他方の磁気収束板53からなり、前記第一の配置パターンから成っている。更に、第一の配置パターンが有する櫛歯状磁気収束板52aの構造中心点を通り、櫛歯状磁気収束板の52aの構造中心線に対し、線対称な位置に配置されるGMR素子61が配置されている。GMR素子61はGMR素子62と同じ一方の磁気収束板52、および他方の磁気収束板53に隣接され、GMR素子61は、GMR素子61c、61dを電気的に接合する接合部が、第1の配置パターンと逆方向に配置される第6の配置パターンからなる。
また、図15に磁気センサ部90と100のGND端子を電極パッド120で共有化し、磁気センサ部50と60のGND端子を電極パッド113で共有化し、磁気センサ部70と80のGND端子を電極パッド117で共有化することで、電極パッド数を減らしコンパクト化を図ることが可能になる。
図17(a)乃至(e)は、本発明に係る磁気センサの実施形態3を説明するための構成図で、X軸及びY軸磁気センサのGMR素子と磁気収束板の配置パターンを説明するための構成図である。
単一配置パターンG,Hは、図17(a)に示すように、互いに線対称の配置パターンになっている。単一配置パターンGの構成は、GMR素子(感磁部171a,171b)171のコ字状部分の一方の外側には、磁気収束板172の第1部分172aが接しており、GMR素子171のコ字状部分の他方の外側には、磁気収束板173の第1部分173aが接している。この配置パターンの2パターン以上の繰り返し構造で、単一配置パターンGと単一配置パターンHとは、互いに線対称の配置パターンになっている。なお、磁気収束板(梁)は必須ではないが、あった方が効率的に磁気収束可能となる。
図17(a)においては、単一配置パターンG,Hは、繋がっていたが、図17(e)においては、X方向に位置ずれして配置されている。
図18(a)乃至(c)は、本発明に係る磁気センサの実施形態4を説明するための構成図で、X軸及びY軸磁気センサのGMR素子と磁気収束板の配置パターンを説明するための構成図である。
図17(a)においては、GMR素子(感磁部171a,171b)171のコ字状部分の一方の外側には、磁気収束板172の第1部分172aが接しており、GMR素子171のコ字状部分の他方の外側には、磁気収束板173の第1部分173aが接しているが、図18(a)に示すように、磁気収束板172の第1部分172aと感磁部171a、磁気収束板173の第1部分173aと感磁部171baとは必ずしも接していなくても良い。磁気収束板172の第1部分172aと磁気収束板173の第1部分173aとを、2つの感磁部171a,171bと等距離に配置されていれば、磁気収束板は感磁部と接触していなくともよい。
図18(c)に示すように、梁と繋がっていない磁気収束板の先端形状は、半円のような角がない形状であってもよいし、三角形状でもあってもよい。四角形(長方形や矩形)である必要はない。
図19(a)乃至(d)は、本発明に係る磁気センサの実施形態5を説明するための構成図で、Z軸磁気センサのGMR素子と磁気収束板の配置パターンを説明するための構成図である。
単一配置パターンI,Jは、図19(a)に示すように、互いに点対称の配置パターンになっている。単一配置パターンIの構成は、GMR素子(感磁部171a,171b)171のコ字状部分の一方の内側には、磁気収束板173の第1部分173aが接しており、GMR素子171のコ字状部分の他方の外側には、磁気収束板172の第1部分172aが接している。この配置パターンの2パターン以上の繰り返し構造で、単一配置パターンIと単一配置パターンJとは、互いに点対称の配置パターンになっている。
図19(c)に示すように、図19(a)における磁気収束板(梁)172,173を除いた構成を示す図で、磁気収束板172の第1部分172aは、磁気収束板172側に突出している。同様に、磁気収束板173の第1部分173aは、磁気収束板173側に突出している。この単一配置パターンは、複数接続されていた方が感度はアップする。
図20(a)乃至(c)は、基板平面に対して平行な任意の軸方向の磁場を検知できるようにした磁気センサの基本配置パターンの構成図で、同一基板上で基板平面に対して平行方向の磁場を検知できるようにした磁気センサである。
図21(a)乃至(d)は、基板平面に対して垂直方向の磁場を検知できるようにした磁気センサの基本配置パターンの構成図で、同一基板上で基板平面に対して垂直方向の磁場を検知できるようにした磁気センサである。
また、第3の磁気検知部の感磁材と、第4の磁気検知部の感磁材とを電気的に直列接続する接続部212aとからなる第2の配置パターン212を有している。
また、第1の構造Aと第2の構造B、又は第1の構造Aと第3の構造C、又は第2の構造Bと第3の構造C、又は第1の構造Aと第2の構造Bと第3の構造Cとが同一平面上に配置されている。
図32は、電極パッドと信号処理回路との電気的接合を示す図である。接続部211a,213aにより電気的に接合されていない感磁材201a,202aの端部が、電極パッド(P1乃至P4)もしくは信号処理回路(IC)に電気的に接合されている。
図34は、磁気収束材と感磁材との高さ方向の位置関係を示す図である。同一平面基板上に感磁材201a乃至204aと磁気収束材201b乃至204bが形成され、感磁材の底面が磁気収束材の底面よりも下に配置されている。
また、磁気抵抗素子の短手方向の幅が、0.1~20ミクロンであることが望ましい。また、磁気収束部が、NiFe、NiFeB、NiFeCo、CoFe等の軟磁性材料から成ることが望ましい。さらに、磁気収束材の厚みが、1~40ミクロンであることが望ましい。
また、上述した磁気検出方法を組み合わせることで、同一平面上で、X磁場,Y磁場,Z磁場を3軸の混成磁場を分離して単独で検知できるようにすることも可能である。
また、図35(d)に示すように、第7の磁気検知部301の感磁材301aと、第8の磁気検知部302の感磁材302aとを、電気的に直列接続する接続部311aとからなる第7の配置パターン311を有している。
図39は、本発明に係る磁気センサの実施例3における磁気センサとして、第10の配置パターンを説明するための構成図で、同一基板上にX磁場乃至Z磁場を検出するための磁気センサとして第10の配置パターンを示している。
なお、第7の配置パターン311と第8の配置パターン312は、櫛歯状磁気収束板の短手方向に対して線対称の位置関係を有している。
なお、第7の配置パターン311と第9の配置パターン313は、櫛歯状磁気収束板の長手方向に対して点対称の位置関係を有している。
第10の磁気センサ部480のGMR素子の短手方向の向きは、第7,第8及び第9の磁気センサのGMRの短手方向の向きは平行である必要がある。
また、さらに第7乃至第10の磁気センサ部450,460,470,480のそれぞれのGMR素子の感度軸が平行になるように配置されていて、すべて同じGMR素子の長さと幅を有し、同じ抵抗値を有している。

つまり、第7の配置パターンと第8の配置パターンを有する磁気センサの磁気検出方法において、磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場(X磁場)は、第7の配置パターンと第8の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場(Y磁場)は、同一方向に磁場変換され、さらに、磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場(Z磁場)は、第7の配置パターンと第8の配置パターンに対して各々同じ方向に変換され、第7の配置パターンを有する磁気センサと、第8の配置パターンからなる磁気センサとの抵抗の差を演算することで、X磁場のみを単独で演算する。

このように同一平面上に、第7乃至第10の磁気センサ部450,460,470,480を配置し、X,Y,Z方向の磁場がかかったときのそれぞれの抵抗から演算を行うことで、精度よくHx,Hy,Hzの成分の磁場の検出が可能になる。
また、第10の磁気センサ部480の磁気収束板は、GMR全体を覆うものであればよく、形状は長方形に限定されず、三角や丸型など任意の形状でも効果は何ら構わない。

Claims (23)
- 基板平面に対して平行な任意の軸方向の磁場を検知できるようにした、第1および第3の配置パターンからなる第1の構造を備える磁気センサであって、
前記第1の配置パターンは、前記基板上に四角形状の感磁材と、該感磁部と長さの異なる四角形状の磁気収束材とを有し、基板に対して平行かつ、前記感磁材の長手方向の中点を通る中線と前記磁気収束材の長手方向の中線とが、互いに交わらないように水平に配置された第1の磁気検知部と、
該第1の磁気検知部と構成が同一である第2の磁気検知部と、
前記第1の磁気検知部の感磁材と、前記第2の磁気検知部の感磁材とを電気的に直列接続する接続部を備え、
前記第1の磁気検知部の感磁材と、前記第2の磁気検知部の感磁材との両方が、前記第1の磁気検知部の磁気収束材と前記第2の磁気検知部の磁気収束材とに挟まれるように点対称の位置関係で、かつ前記第1の磁気検知部と前記第2の磁気検知部とが互いに重ならないように配置され、
前記第3の配置パターンは、基板平面に対し平行で、該第1の配置パターンの前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な線に対して、前記磁気収束材と感磁材の位置関係が対称になり、かつ互いに重ならないように離間して対向配置された前記第1の配置パターンと同じ構造を有することを特徴とする磁気センサ。 - 基板平面に対して垂直方向の磁場を検知できるようにした、第2および第4の配置パターンからなる第3の構造を備える磁気センサであって、
前記第2の配置パターンは、前記基板上に四角形状の感磁材と、該感磁部と長さの異なる四角形状の磁気収束材とを有し、基板に対して平行かつ、前記感磁材の長手方向の中点を通る中線とが、互いに交わらないように水平に配置された第3の磁気検知部と、
該第3の磁気検知部の前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な線に対して、構造が線対称の第4の磁気検知部と、
前記第3の磁気検知部の感磁材と、前記第4の磁気検知部の感磁材とを電気的に直列接続する接続部とを備え
前記第3の磁気検知部の感磁材が、前記第3の磁気検知部の磁気収束材と、前記第4の磁気検知部の磁気収束材とに挟まれるように配置され、かつ前記第3の磁気検知部と前記第4の磁気検知部とが互いに平行、かつ重ならないように配置され、
前記第4の配置パターンは、該第2の配置パターンと同様の構造を有し、
前記第3の構造は、前記第2の配置パターンと前記第4の配置パターンとが、互いに点Moに対し、対称の位置関係でかつ互いに重ならないように離間して対向配置されてなる構造であることを特徴とする磁気センサ。 - 前記第1の構造と、該第1の構造と同様の構造を有する第2の構造とが、互いに平行でなくかつ互いに重ならないように配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記第1の構造と、前記第2の構造とが、互いに垂直な位置関係で配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記第1の構造と前記第2の構造、又は前記第1の構造と前記第3の構造、又は前記第2の構造と前記第3の構造、又は前記第1の構造と前記第2の構造と前記第3の構造とが同一平面上に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記第1の配置パターンから前記第4の配置パターンにおいて、それぞれの配置パターンにおいて、全く同じ構造の配置パターンが複数個存在して配置パターン群を構成し、該配置パターン群が、互いに平行にかつ重ならないように配置され、かつ同一の配置パターンがそれぞれ有する感磁部同士が、1つの直列接続となるように電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記第1の配置パターンから前記第4の配置パターンのそれぞれの磁気収束材において、磁気収束部材が、前記配置パターンの構造中心点から遠い位置の方の前記磁気収束材の短手側でT字状に接するように配置され、前記磁気収束部材と隣接する磁気収束材との距離(A)が前記配置パターン内における2つの磁気収束材間の距離よりも遠い位置関係に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記各配置パターン間における磁気収束材間の距離が、前記各配置パターン内における2つの磁気収束材間の距離よりも長いことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記第1の配置パターンと、
基板の平面方向に対し平行で、該第1の配置パターンが有する2つの磁気収束材の内の一方の磁気収束材の構造中心点を通り、前記磁気収束材の長辺に平行な直線に対して、前記第1の配置パターンと対称な位置関係にある第5の配置パターンにおいて、前記感磁材を電気的に接続する接続部が、前記第5の配置パターンにおける接続部とは逆の前記感磁材の端部に配置された第6の配置パターンとからなる構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の磁気センサ。 - 前記第1の配置パターンと前記第6の配置パターンとが交互に繰り返し複数個配列され、前記第1の配置パターン内の感磁材同士が、電気的な1直列接続となるように接続部で接続され、前記第6の配置パターン内の感磁材同士が、電気的な1直列接続となるように接続部で接続され、
前記第1の配置パターン内の磁気収束材間の距離と、前記第6の配置パターン内の磁気収束材間の距離とが互いに等しいことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の磁気センサ。 - 請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載の磁気センサを用いた磁気検出方法において、
空間中の磁場のそれぞれ異なる任意の3軸方向の磁場成分の内、2軸以上の方向の磁場成分が磁気収束材によって曲げられることを利用して、空間中の任意の軸方向の磁場を独立して検出することを特徴とする磁気検出方法。 - 請求項1,3乃至10のいずれかに記載の磁気センサを用いた磁気検出方法において、
前記第1の配置パターンと前記第3の配置パターンを有する第1の構造を有する磁気センサを用いて、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場は、前記第1の配置パターンと前記第3の配置パターンに対し、各々反対の方向に変換され、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場は同一方向に磁場変換され、更に磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場は単一パターン内に隣接する前記感磁部で+/-になるように磁場が掛かるため相殺され、前記第1の配置パターンを有する前記磁気センサと前記第3の配置パターンからなる磁気センサの感磁部の抵抗の差を演算することで、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場のみを単独で演算することのできるようにすることを特徴とする磁気センサの磁気検出方法。 - 請求項3乃至8のいずれかに記載の磁気センサを用いた磁気検出方法において、
前記第1の構造の配置パターンが互いに平行でなく、かつ互いに重ならないように配置された第2の構造を有する磁気センサを用いて、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場は、前記第1の配置パターンと前記第3の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場は、同一方向に磁場変換され、更に前記磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場は単一パターン内に隣接する感磁部で+/-になるように磁場が掛かるため相殺され、前記第2の構造からなる磁気センサの抵抗の差を演算することで、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場のみを単独で演算することのできるようにすることを特徴とする磁気センサの磁気検出方法。 - 請求項2,5乃至8のいずれかに記載の磁気センサを用いた磁気検出方法において、
前記第2の配置パターンと前記第4の配置パターンを有する磁気センサを用いて、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場は前記第2の配置パターンと前記第4の配置パターンに対し、各々同じの方向に変換され、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場は同一方向に磁場変換され、更に前記磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場は、前記第2の配置パターンと前記第4の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、前記第4の配置パターンを有する磁気センサと前記第2の配置パターンからなる磁気センサの抵抗の差を演算することで、前記磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場のみを単独で演算することのできるようにすることを特徴とする磁気センサの磁気検出方法。 - 請求項11乃至14のいずれかに記載の磁気検出方法を組み合わせることで、2軸又は3軸の磁場成分をそれぞれ独立して検知することを特徴とする磁気センサの磁気検出方法。
- 基板平面に対して平行な任意の軸方向の磁場を検知できるようにした磁気センサにおいて、
前記基板平面上に四角形状の感磁材と、該感磁部と長さの異なる四角形状の磁気収束材とを有し、前記基板平面に対して平行で、かつ前記感磁材の長手方向の中点を通る中線と、前記磁気収束材の長手方向の中点を通る中線とが互いに交わらないように配置された第7の磁気検知部と、該第7の磁気検知部と同一の構造を有する第8の磁気検知部とを備え、
該第8の磁気検知部の感磁材が、前記第7の磁気検知部の磁気収束材と前記第8の磁気検知部の磁気収束材とに挟まれるように配置され、
前記第7の磁気検知部と前記第8の磁気検知部とが互いに並行で、かつ重ならないように配置され、前記第7の磁気検知部の感磁材と前記第8の磁気検知部の感磁材とを電気的に直列接続する接続部とからなる第7の配置パターンを有し、
前記第7の配置パターンと同一の構成を有する第8の配置パターンが、前記基板平面に対して平行で、かつ前記第7の配置パターンの磁気収束材の短手方向側に平行な線に対して対称で、かつ互いに重ならないように離間して対向配置されていることを特徴とする磁気センサ。 - 前記基板平面に対して垂直な軸方向の磁場を検出できるように、前記基板上に前記第7の配置パターンと同一の構成を有する第9の配置パターンを有し、
該第9の配置パターンが任意の点に対して前記第7の配置パターンと対称で、かつ前記第7の配置パターンの磁気収束材の長手方向と、前記第9の配置パターンの長手方向が平行で互いに重ならないように離間して配置され、
前記第7の配置パターンと前記第8の配置パターン及び前記第9の配置パターンが互いに平行で、かつ異なる位置に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の磁気センサ。 - 同一基板上に、更に、前記第7乃至第9の配置パターンのいずれかの感磁材をと同じ配置パターンの感磁材と、該感磁材の全面を覆う磁気収束材を有する第10の配置パターンを有することを特徴とする請求項16又は17に記載の磁気センサ。
- 前記第7の配置パターン乃至前記第10の配置パターンのいずれかの配置パターンが複数個で配置パターン群を構成し、該配置パターン群が、互いに平行でかつ重ならないように配置され、かつ前記配置パターン群の各々の感磁部同士が、1つの直列接続となるように接続部で電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項16,17又は18に記載の磁気センサ。
- 請求項16乃至19のいずれかに記載の磁気センサにおける前記第7の配置パターンと前記第8の配置パターンを有する磁気センサの磁気検出方法において、
前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場(X磁場)は、前記第7の配置パターンと前記第8の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場(Y磁場)は、同一方向に磁場変換され、
さらに、前記磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場(Z磁場)は、前記第7の配置パターンと前記第8の配置パターンに対して各々同じ方向に変換され、前記第7の配置パターンを有する磁気センサと、前記第8の配置パターンからなる磁気センサとの抵抗の差を演算することで、X磁場のみを単独で演算することを特徴とする磁気検出方法。 - 請求項18又は19に記載の磁気センサにおける前記第8の配置パターンと前記第9の配置パターン及び前記第10の配置パターンを有する磁気センサの検出方法において、
前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場(X磁場)は、前記第8の配置パターンと前記第9の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場(Y磁場)は、同一方向に磁場変換され、
さらに、前記磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場(Z磁場)は、前記第8の配置パターンと前記第9の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、
前記第8の配置パターンを有する磁気センサと、前記第9の配置パターンからなる磁気センサとの抵抗の和を演算し、さらに、その和を前記第10の配置パターンからなる磁気センサの抵抗を2倍の値から差をとることで、Y磁場のみを単独で演算することを特徴とする磁気検出方法。 - 請求項17,18又は19に記載の磁気センサにおける前記第7の配置パターンと前記第9の配置パターンを有する磁気センサの検出方法において、
前記磁気収束材の長手方向に平行な磁場(X磁場)は、前記第7の配置パターンと前記第9の配置パターンに対して各々同じ方向に変換され、前記磁気収束材の長手方向に垂直な磁場(Y磁場)は、同一方向に磁場変換され、
さらに、前記磁気収束材の平面方向に垂直な磁場(Z磁場)は、前記第7の配置パターンと前記第9の配置パターンに対して各々反対の方向に変換され、
前記第7の配置パターンを有する磁気センサと、前記第9の配置パターンからなる磁気センサとの抵抗の差を演算することで、Z磁場のみを単独で演算することを特徴とする磁気検出方法。 - 請求項20,21又は22に記載の磁気検出方法の2つ以上を組み合わせることにより2軸又は3軸方向の磁場を検出することを特徴とする磁気検出方法。
