このような構成により、AF用コイル3に通電することで、永久磁石2の磁界とAF用コイル3に流れる電流による磁界との相互作用によって、レンズを光軸方向に位置調整することが可能である。
図示するX軸OIS用コイル5は、永久磁石2の近傍で、かつ、コイルの軸方向が光軸と平行な方向となるように設けられている。また、X軸OIS用位置センサ(第2のホール素子)6は、X軸OIS用コイル5により駆動されるレンズ1の位置を検出するものである。このX軸OIS用位置センサ6はホール素子が望ましい。図1においては、X軸OIS用コイル5とX軸OIS用ホール素子6とを、光軸に垂直に、かつ永久磁石2の面と平行になるように挟み込むように配置してあるが、レンズ1の固定されている永久磁石のX軸方向の移動を検出できるように配置されていれば良い。
OIS用コイル5は、永久磁石2と協働して、レンズをX軸方向に駆動する。また、OIS用コイル5と永久磁石2との組合せは、ボイスコイルモータ(VCM)として機能する。
このような構成により、手ブレ補正機構は、カメラ付き携帯電話の筐体の振れを打ち消すように、レンズを移動(揺動)させることができる。その結果、手ブレ補正することができる。
レンズの駆動方法における手ブレ補正機構としては、OIS用コイル5とOIS用ホール素子6とAF用コイル3とAF用ホール素子4とが固定されており、レンズ1と永久磁石2とヨーク7とが一緒に移動する。また、オートフォーカス機構としては、AF用コイル3とAF用ホール素子4とが固定されており、レンズ1と永久磁石2とヨーク7の他に、OIS用コイル5とOIS用ホール素子6とが一緒に移動する。つまり、レンズモジュールとしては、レンズ1と永久磁石2とヨーク7とで構成されているが、オートフォーカス時には、OIS用コイル5とOIS用ホール素子6とが一緒に移動するように構成されている。
また、オートフォーカス機構及び/又は手ブレ補正機構にクローズドループ制御を用い、オートフォーカス機構の第1の位置センサからの位置情報に基づいて手ブレ補正機構をフィードバック制御するように構成されている。
オートフォーカス機構に用いられるオートフォーカス用の永久磁石と手ブレ補正機構に用いられている手ブレ補正用の永久磁石は、レンズ11aの光軸と直交する方向に沿ってX軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石12として設けられ共用されている。
このように、AF用コイルの軸方向と手ブレ補正用コイルの軸方向を直交させることでより小型化が可能となるが、必ずしもAF用コイルの軸方向と手ブレ補正用コイルの軸方向を直交させる必要はない。
このような構成により、AF用コイル13に通電することで、永久磁石12の磁界とAF用コイル13に流れる電流による磁界との相互作用によって、AF駆動用シャフト18に沿ってレンズ11aを光軸方向に位置調整することが可能である。
X軸OIS用コイル15X及びY軸OIS用コイル15Yは、永久磁石12及び12Yと協働して、レンズ11aを、X軸OIS用駆動シャフト19Xに沿ってX軸方向及びY軸OIS用駆動シャフト19Yに沿ってY軸方向に駆動する。また、OIS用コイル15X,15Yと永久磁石12および12Yとの組合せは、ボイスコイルモータ(VCM)として機能する。
図中、右上から順番に、実線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.1mm移動時、点線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.05mm移動時、破線がX軸手ブレ補正無し時、二点鎖線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが+0.05mm移動時、一点鎖線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが+0.1mm移動時を示している。つまり、AF時のレンズ位置とAF用ホール素子に印加される磁束密度の関係は、レンズ位置が移動するにしたがってAF用ホール素子に印加される磁束密度は右上がりに増加し、X軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.1mm移動時から+0.1mm移動時に変化するにしたがって、右上がりの勾配がゆるくなってくる。
図中、右上から順番に、実線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.1mm移動時、点線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.05mm移動時、破線がX軸手ブレ補正無し時、二点鎖線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが+0.05mm移動時、一点鎖線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが+0.1mm移動時を示している。つまり、AF時のレンズ位置とAF用ホール素子の出力電圧の関係は、レンズ位置が移動するにしたがってAF用ホール素子の出力電圧は単調増加(もしくは単調減少)し、X軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.1mm移動時から+0.1mm移動時に変化するにしたがって、単調増加(もしくは単調減少)の勾配がゆるくなってくる。
図7は、図4に示したホール素子と永久磁石との配置関係を有するシミュレーション条件で行った場合のX軸OIS時のレンズ位置とX軸OIS用ホール素子に印加される磁束密度の関係を示す図である。つまり、X軸OIS時のレンズ位置が移動するにしたがってX軸OIS用ホール素子に印加される磁束密度が右上がりに増加している。

図9は、図6及び図8のシミュレーションの結果に基づいて補正ゲイン導入後のAF時のレンズ位置とAF用ホール素子の出力電圧を示す図である。
図中、右上から順番に、実線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.1mm移動時、点線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが-0.05mm移動時、破線がX軸手ブレ補正無し時、二点鎖線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが+0.05mm移動時、一点鎖線がX軸手ブレ補正でレンズが+0.1mm移動時を示している。つまり、図6におけるバラツキの特性が、補正ゲイン導入後に改善されていることが分かる。
なお、実施形態1は第2の位置センサ(OIS用センサ)の出力をオートフォーカス機構にフィードバックする形態を中心に説明したが、同様にして、第1の位置センサ(AF用センサ)の出力を手ブレ補正機構にフィードバックしてもよい。
図10(a),(b)は、本発明に係る位置検出装置の実施形態2を説明するための構成図で、図10(a)は上面図、図10(b)は下面図である。図中符号31は弾性部材(バネ又はスプリング)、32は支柱(給電端子)を示している。なお、図2及び図3と同じ機能を有する構成要素には同一の符号を付してある。
図10(a),(b)に示すように、レンズ11aを保持する駆動体11bと、ハウジング21内の四隅に設けられ、駆動電流を供給するための給電端子としての4本の支柱32と、駆動体11bと給電端子としての4本の支柱32の各々に接続された2本の弾性部材(バネ又はスプリング)31とを備えている。また、駆動体11bは、レンズバレル(第1の駆動体)11b1と第2の駆動体11b2とから構成されている。なお、符号13ZはZ軸AF用コイル、14ZはZ軸AF用センサ(ホール素子)を示している。また、「ハウジング」は、モジュールの最外壁部分と定義する。
このように、オートフォーカス(AF)機構と手ブレ補正(OIS)機構に対して、弾性部材(バネ又はスプリング)31が、レンズ稼動部と支柱に繋いでX軸及びY軸方向の位置を保持しているので、レンズ稼動部が周辺の壁にぶつかって破損するのを防止するように構成されている。
図11(a),(b)から明らかなように、永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)12は、レンズバレル(第1の駆動体)11b1の外側に設けられており、その永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)12の両側で、かつレンズバレル(第1の駆動体)11b1の外側にX軸OIS(手ブレ補正)用コイル15Xが設けられている。また、永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)12の背後には、X軸OIS用ホール素子16Xが配置されている。
また、Z軸AF用センサ14Zが、永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)12の下側に配置され、Z軸AF用コイル13Zが、Z軸AF用センサ14Zの両側に配置されている。
図12(a),(b)から明らかなように、弾性部材(バネ又はスプリング)31は、駆動電流を供給するための給電端子(支柱)32と、第2の駆動体11b2を介して、Z軸AF用センサ14Z及びZ軸用AFコイル13Zに接続されている。
図14(a)乃至(c)から明らかなように、永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)12が、レンズバレル(第1の駆動体)11b1に取り付けられており、Y軸OIS用磁石12Yが、第2の駆動体11b2の外側に取り付けられている。また、Z軸AF用センサ14Zが、第2の駆動体11b2の内側に配置され、Z軸AF用コイル13Zが、Z軸AF用センサ14Zの両側で、かつ第2の駆動体11b2の内側に沿って配置されている。
Z軸AF用コイル13Zに通電することで矢印方向(Z軸方向)に磁石が移動する。他軸移動の際は、X軸及びY軸はコイルと磁石とセンサとが全て移動するので、他軸移動の影響は無い。
図16(a),(b)は、永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石)とX軸OIS用コイルとX軸OIS用センサとの配置図で、図16(a)は、各部材の寸法などを示す図で、図16(b)は、各部材の間隔寸法を示す図である。
図16(a)において、永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石)12の背後にX軸OIS用ホール素子16Xが配置され、そのX軸OIS用ホール素子16Xの両側にX軸OIS用コイル15Xが配置されている。
図16(b)において、X軸OIS用コイル15Xの最短距離が2.4mm、最長距離が6.65mm、下端距離が2.83mm、上端距離が6.22mmである。また、X軸OIS用コイル15Xの下端と永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石)12の上端との距離が0.87mmである。
図18(a)においては、レンズバレル(第1の駆動体)11b1の外側に設けられている永久磁石(X軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)12は見えており、図18(b)においては、第2の駆動体11b2の内側に設けられているZ軸AF用センサ14Zとその両側に配置されているZ軸AF用コイル13Zが見えている。
図21(a),(b)は、図10(a)に示した本発明に係る位置検出装置の実施形態2における弾性部材の他の例を説明するための構成図で、図21(a)はハウジングを取り除いた上面図、図21(b)はハウジングを取り除いた斜視図である。図中符号131はS字状のバネを示している。また、この弾性部材131は、上述した特許文献5に示されているような環状の板バネであっても良い。
このように本実施形態2によれば、支柱(給電端子)から供給される駆動電流や信号を弾性部材を介してコイルやセンサに供給しており、また、センサから出力される信号を弾性部材を介して支柱(給電端子)に供給しているので、小型化が可能となる。さらに弾性部材が、レンズ稼動部と支柱に繋いでX軸及びY軸方向の位置を保持しているので、レンズ稼動部が周辺の壁にぶつかって破損するのを防止することができる。
なお、本実施形態2においては、手ブレ補正機構及びオートフォーカス機構をフィードバック制御しない場合について適用可能である。
図22は、本発明に係る位置検出装置の実施形態3を説明するための斜視図で、図23は、図22に示した位置検出装置の上面図であり、レンズの光軸a方向から位置検出装置を見た図である。図中符号12Aは永久磁石(A軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石)、12BはB軸OIS用磁石、13はオートフォーカス(AF)用コイル、14はAF用ホール素子、15AはA軸OIS(手ブレ補正)用コイル、15BはB軸OIS用コイル、16AはA軸OIS用ホール素子、16BはB軸OIS用ホール素子、17はヨーク、18はAF駆動用シャフト、19AはA軸OIS用駆動シャフト、19BはB軸OIS用駆動シャフト、21はカメラモジュールを示している。なお、「レンズバレル」は、レンズを保持する部材と定義する。
また、第1の方向は、カメラモジュールの辺の方向と異なる方向で、好ましくは、カメラモジュールの辺の方向と45度の角度をなす方向である。また、第2の方向は、カメラモジュールの辺の方向と異なる方向で、好ましくは、第2の方向は、カメラモジュールの辺の方向と45度の角度をなす方向である。
また、第1の方向に配置された位置センサ16Aは、A軸手ブレ補正用ホール素子で、第2の方向に配置された位置センサ16Bは、B軸手ブレ補正用ホール素子である。
また、永久磁石12Aは、オートフォーカス機構に用いられるオートフォーカス用磁石と、手ブレ補正機構に用いられている手ブレ補正用磁石と共用したものである。また、オートフォーカスコイル13は、永久磁石12Aの近傍に設けられている。
第1の位置センサ14及び第2の位置センサ16Aは、カメラモジュール21内の四隅のいずれかに配置されている。
このような構成により、上述したように、A軸及びB軸から45度回転した軸の位置を検知するように配置することで、モジュールを小型化することが可能となる。
オートフォーカス機構に用いられるオートフォーカス用の永久磁石と手ブレ補正機構に用いられている手ブレ補正用の永久磁石は、レンズ11aの光軸と直交する方向に沿ってA軸OIS用磁石兼AF用磁石12Aとして設けられ共用されている。
このような構成により、AF用コイル13に通電することで、永久磁石12Aの磁界とAF用コイル13に流れる電流による磁界との相互作用によって、AF駆動用シャフト18に沿ってレンズ11aを光軸方向に位置調整することが可能である。
A軸OIS用コイル15A及びB軸OIS用コイル15Bは、永久磁石12A,12Bと協働して、レンズ11aを、A軸OIS用駆動シャフト19Aに沿ってA軸方向及びB軸OIS用駆動シャフト19Bに沿ってB軸方向に駆動する。また、OIS用コイル15A,15Bと永久磁石12A,12Bとの組合せは、ボイスコイルモータ(VCM)として機能する。

また、AB軸座標系で得られた出力をカメラモジュールの辺の方向をX軸方向、Y軸方向とするXY軸座標系に変換しているので、XY軸座標系で検出されたレンズ位置に対応していた従来の後段装置をそのまま使用することが可能となる。

図27(a)乃至(c)は、図26(a),(b)に示した位置検出装置の組立図で、図27(a)は第1の駆動体の斜視図、図27(b)は第2の駆動体の斜視図、図27(c)は、第1の駆動体を第2の駆動体に組み入れた図である。なお、図中符号18a,18b,18cはシャフト、22a,22b,22cは突起部、23は切欠部を示している。
駆動体11bは、レンズ11aを保持するものである。また、図1に示すオートフォーカス用磁石2は、駆動体11bの近傍に配置され、オートフォーカス機構に用いられる。また、オートフォーカスコイル3は、オートフォーカス用磁石2の近傍に設けられている。
オートフォーカスコイル3は、第2の駆動体11b2の内周に沿うように配置され、その軸方向はレンズ11aの光軸に平行な方向となっている。このような配置とすることにより、小型の位置検出装置を実現することができる。
また、第1の位置センサ4は、オートフォーカスコイル3により駆動されるレンズ11aの位置を検出するものである。また、第2の位置センサ16Xは、X軸手ブレ補正用コイル12Xにより駆動されるレンズ11aの位置を検出するものである。また、第3の位置センサ16Yは、Y軸手ブレ補正用コイル15Yにより駆動されるレンズ11aの位置を検出するものである。
また、弾性部材31は、S字状のバネ又は環状の板バネである。また、第1の位置センサ及び第2の位置センサ及び第3の位置センサは、磁気センサである。
また、オートフォーカスコイル3は、このコイルの軸方向が光軸と平行になるように設けられている。また、手ブレ補正用コイル15X,15Yは、このコイルの軸方向が光軸と直交するように設けられている。
また、第1の位置センサは第1のホール素子であり、第2の位置センサは第2のホール素子であり、第3の位置センサは第3のホール素子であり、第1のホール素子及び第2のホール素子及び第3のホール素子は、その感磁面の法線方向が光軸と直交する方向となるように配置されており、第1及び第2のホール素子の感磁面の法線方向と第3のホール素子の感磁面の法線方向が異なる。
X軸手ブレ補正用コイル15Xの軸方向と、Y軸手ブレ補正用コイル15Yの軸方向は共に異なる方向であり、その方向は互いに直交する。
第1から第3のホール素子の感磁面、X軸手ブレ補正用コイル15Xの軸方向と、Y軸手ブレ補正用コイル15Yの軸方向を上記配置にすることにより、レンズモジュールの角部に各ホール素子、各手ブレ補正用コイルを収納することが可能となり、小型の位置検出装置を実現することができる。
このような構成により、駆動体11bは、シャフト18a,18b,18cを介してレンズ11aの光軸に沿って移動する。また、複数の突起部22a,22b,22c及び複数のシャフト18a,18b,18cは、3箇所に設けられていて3点支持を行うように構成されている。
このような構成により、オートフォーカス機構と手ブレ補正機構とを備え、AF用磁石とOIS用磁石とを共用するように構成し、レンズモジュール内におけるレンズを保持する駆動体の支持部材による安定性を図るようにした小型の位置検出装置を実現することができる。特に、3点支持構造とすることにより、カメラのレンズ部が傾かないという効果を奏する。

- レンズの光軸方向に垂直な面内における前記レンズの位置を検出して手ブレ補正のための位置を検出し、前記光軸方向の前記レンズの位置を検出してオートフォーカスのための位置を検出する位置検出装置において、
前記レンズが前記光軸方向と前記光軸と垂直な面内方向に移動するのに伴って移動する磁石と、
該磁石の前記光軸方向の移動に伴い変化する磁場を検知して、前記光軸方向の前記レンズの位置を検出するオートフォーカスのための第1の位置センサと、
前記磁石の前記光軸方向に垂直な面内での移動に伴い変化する磁場を検知し、前記光軸方向に垂直な面内における前記レンズの位置を検出する手ブレ補正のための第2の位置センサと
を備えていることを特徴とする位置検出装置。 - 前記磁石の近傍に設けられ、前記レンズを光軸方向に移動させるためのオートフォーカスコイルと、前記磁石の近傍に設けられ、前記レンズを光軸方向に垂直な方向に移動させるための手ブレ補正用コイルとを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の位置検出装置。

- 前記第2の位置センサとは異なる、前記光軸方向に垂直な面内における前記レンズの位置を検出する手ブレ補正のための第3の位置センサを備え、
前記前記第2の位置センサ及び/又は前記第3の位置センサが、前記カメラモジュール内の四隅のいずれかに配置されていることを特徴とする請求項11又は12に記載の位置検出装置。 - 前記第2の位置センサは、前記光軸と直交する第1の方向における前記レンズの位置を検出し、前記第3の位置センサは、前記光軸及び前記第1の方向と直交する第2の方向における前記レンズの位置を検出することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記第1の方向が、前記カメラモジュールの辺の方向と異なる方向であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記第1の方向が、前記カメラモジュールの辺の方向と45度の角度をなす方向であることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記第2の方向が、前記カメラモジュールの辺の方向と異なる方向であることを特徴とする請求項14,15又は16に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記第2の方向が、前記カメラモジュールの辺の方向と45度の角度をなす方向であることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記第2の位置センサと前記第3の位置センサの出力に基づいて、前記レンズの位置を検出するレンズ位置検出部を備え、
前記第1の方向をA軸とし、該A軸を、光軸を中心に所定角度回転させた軸をX軸とし、
前記第2の方向をB軸として、該B軸を、光軸を中心に、該A軸と同方向に前記所定角度回転させた軸をY軸として、
前記レンズ位置検出部が、前記X軸とY軸における前記レンズの位置を検知することを特徴とする請求項17又は18に記載の位置検出装置。 - 前記所定角度が、45度であることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記レンズを保持し、かつシャフトを嵌め込むための貫通孔を複数有する駆動体と、前記複数の貫通孔の各々に嵌め込まれている複数のシャフトとを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記貫通孔及び前記シャフトが、3箇所以上に設けられていて3点以上の支持を行うように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記駆動体が、第1の駆動体であるレンズバレルと第2の駆動体とから構成されていることを特徴とする請求項21又は22に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記第1の駆動体が、前記第2の駆動体に嵌め込まれていることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記駆動体が、該駆動体の外周面に一体的に設けられ、前記貫通孔を有する複数の突起部を備え、前記複数のシャフトが、前記突起部の各々の貫通孔に嵌め込まれていることを特徴とする請求項21乃至24のいずれかに記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記突起部及び前記シャフトが、3箇所以上に設けられていて3点以上の支持を行うように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項25に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記駆動体が、第1の駆動体であるレンズバレルと第2の駆動体とから構成され、前記突起部が、前記第1の駆動体であるレンズバレルに設けられていることを特徴とする請求項21乃至26のいずれかに記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記磁石が、前記第1の駆動体に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項27に記載の位置検出装置。
- 前記磁石が、前記第2の駆動体の切欠部に嵌め合わされていることを特徴とする請求項27又は28に記載の位置検出装置。
