Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for preparing mineral pulp by preparing environmentally friendly mineral fibers using waste coal resources such as waste coal, coal ash, dust coal, pumice, coal refuse or tailing generated in industrial settings around coal mines and abandoned coal mines, and industrial waste such as waste foundry sand or slag as a supplementary material, adding a pulp material, and carrying out chemical modification and a paper-making and softening step. The various types of mineral fiber provided at an intermediate step for preparation are an industrial material, a construction material, a heat insulation material, a fireproof material, a frictional material, a cold insulation material and an agricultural material, and is useful as an environmentally friendly material with flexibility and excellent restoring force. In addition, the mineral pulp as a final material can replace imported natural pulp. Further, energy use and pollutant discharge are remarkably reduced by recycling waste resources, thereby contributing to green growth, and it is possible to contribute to the economic development and the creation of jobs in abandoned mining areas.
