Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil d'imagerie par rayons X panoramique, lequel appareil se caractérise en ce qu'il comprend un élément de maintien; un élément tournant couplé pivotant à l'élément de maintien; une unité source couplée à une partie inférieure d'un côté de l'élément tournant et émettant des rayons X; un unité détection couplée à une partie inférieure de l'autre côté de l'élément tournant de sorte que l'unité de détection est placée en face de l'unité source et acquière des images au moyen des rayons X émis; un moyen de mesure de distance conçu pour mesurer chaque distance depuis l'unité source jusqu'à une unité objet mis en images, lequel moyen est situé parallèlement à l'unité source et à l'unité de détection, pour chaque point d'imagerie de l'imagerie par rayons X panoramique; et un moyen de déplacement de position pour déplacer l'unité source le long de la longueur de l'élément tournant. Ainsi, des images par rayons X haute résolution peuvent être acquises quelle que soit la forme du tracé d'un objet mis en images.
