Abstract
Keksintö liittyy tomosynteesiprosessiin mammografian yhteydessä, jossa rinnasta otetaan yksittäisiä kuvia eri projektiokulmissa ja jossa näin saadusta kuvainformaatiosta syntetisoidaan tomografiakuvia soveltuvan kuvankäsittelyohjelmiston avulla. Keksinnössä selvitetään, mikä kuvauslaitteen kuvantamisvälineiden keskinäinen geometria on yksittäistä kuvaa otettaessa ollut, jolloin tomografiakuvan syntetisoinnin ei tarvitse perustua oletukseen että kuvauslaite on kuvia otettaessa toteuttanut tarkasti juuri sen kuvausgeometrian, johon syntetisointi perustuu. Tämän sijaintitiedon hankkimiseksi kuvaslaitteeseen kiinnitetään kalibrointirakenne (20), johon kuuluu röntgensäteilyä absorboivia kuulia (21) tai muita pieniä kappaleita siten sijoitettuna, että ne tai osa niistä kuvautuu mainittuihin yksittäisiin kuviin.
