Abstract

A lighting device (1) mountable to a column (9) fixed to the ground comprises first portion (11) including engagement means (15) for engaging the column, said first portion being movable between a first condition (Fig. 2) in which the engagement means engages a horizontally extending portion of a said column and a second condition (Fig. 3) in which the engagement means engages a vertically extending portion of a said column.
