Abstract

A lighting device mountable to a column fixed to the ground comprises a lighting portion 3 having a light emitter and a mounting portion 7 movably attached to the lighting portion and adapted to be attached to the column. One of the mounting portion 7 and the lighting portion 3 has a locking element 19 and the other of the mounting portion 7 and the lighting portion 3 has a plurality of corresponding engagement means 21a, 21b, such that the angle of the lighting portion 3 relative to the mounting portion 7 is adjustable by means of selective engagement of the locking element 19 with any one of the plurality of engagement means 21a, 21b.
