Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Reduktion von eisenoxidhaltigem Material, wobei das eisenoxidhaltige Material in einem Reduktionsschacht ein Festbett ausbildet, und es in dem Reduktionsschacht mittels zumindest eines mit einem Druck p1 in das Festbett eingebrachten Vorreduktionsgases das eisenoxidhaltige Material in vorreduziertes Material umgewandelt wird. Zumindest ein Teil dieses vorreduzierten Materials, bevorzugt das ganze vorreduzierte Material, wird aus dem Reduktionsschacht in einen Einschmelzvergaser eingebracht, in welchem es mittels eines unter einem Druck p2 stehenden Reduktionsgases fertigreduziert wird. Dabei wird ein Topgas mit einem Druck p3 aus dem Raum oberhalb des Festbettes aus dem Reduktionsschacht ausgeleitet, und aus dem Festbett wird zumindest ein Staubausblasgas mit einem Druck p4 aus dem Reduktionsschacht ausgeleitet. Dabei gilt die Beziehung p1>p4 und p1>p3, bevorzugt auch p4>p3. Weiters betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung eines solchen Verfahrens.
