Definitions
- the present invention relates to a modular construction system designed to facilitate the construction of buildings based on attached, stackable and interconnectable modules. Field of application of the invention.
- the modular construction system of this invention is applicable in the construction sector of buildings in general, and more especially of buildings with removable modular structures. Background of the invention.
- the modules are reinforced concrete blocks that constitute a room or several, so that their dimensions and weight are very high for conventional transport, which reduces the economic advantage by requiring expensive special transport between the factory and the construction place.
- these heavy modules are difficult to handle with cranes and fit on site due to their great weight.
- the modular construction takes advantage of the well-known marine containers to create stackable structures, but these marine containers limit the dimensions of the rooms to the proper size of the container.
- the coupling of several Containers to establish a building is complicated because it is not specifically planned and only small constructions can be made.
- the exterior appearance offered by these constructions is very poor denoting their prefabricated origin; and the thermal and acoustic insulation of the exterior is reduced by the use of metal plates as walls.
- the applicant of the present invention is unaware of the existence of a background that satisfactorily solves the problem presented.
- the modular construction system object of this invention, has some technical peculiarities intended to provide simple and fast handling construction means, with considerable scalability and flexibility when configuring said construction or building according to the purpose for which it is intended.
- the construction system is of the type that includes modules that can be attached to intermediate connection means.
- each of the modules comprises a parallelepiped structure formed by four metal angular profiles, of section "L”, open to the outside, arranged in correspondence with the vertical edges of the module, and fixed to each other by their upper and lower ends by means of horizontal crossbars.
- the joining means of the modules comprise pillars, anchored in a foundation platform or in respective lower pillars; the modules being fixed by their angular profiles to the adjacent pillars by means of screws, pins or other similar means, so that each of the profiles Angular "L" section houses a peripheral portion of one of the adjacent pillars.
- the construction or building is easily established by the consecutive arrangement of the modules on the floor, and their stacking in levels, maintaining this structure by means of the pillars arranged at the confluence of the corners of said modules.
- the assembly of the set of modules and pillars is mechanically by screws, preferably, so that the construction is easily removable for transport to another place, change of configuration in a different construction or simply disassembled for disposal, with the recycling of its materials .
- the metal structure of the modules and the pillars makes the modules lighter and stronger against reinforced concrete modules, and therefore can be transported better and placed with less resources.
- constructions that can be carried out with this construction system are varied, ranging from the construction of homes to offices, hotels, shopping centers and others.
- the structures of the modules comprise a floor slab between the crossbars of the lower base that allow the simple establishment of the construction levels or floors.
- the modules intended for placement in the highest part or last level of the construction have a floor slab at the top.
- the structures of the modules comprise surface elements depending on the use and positioning of the module in the construction, said surface elements being configured as a false ceiling, side walls, windows, doors, stairs, skylights and / or upper access hatches, anchored to the angular profiles and / or crossbars of the lower and upper bases.
- the modules can configure different rooms and spaces according to the needs raised. So, for example, with larger modules facing sides or open areas, larger rooms are formed.
- the construction system comprises some pieces of union of the pillars, formed by a tubular body that can be coupled at the opposite ends of two consecutive and aligned vertical pillars.
- Said connecting pieces have an intermediate perimeter plate forming an assembly stop in an intermediate zone.
- this perimeter plate is formed by a square plate that protrudes from two sections of the tubular body fixed by both major faces. In this way it is possible to raise the maximum height of the building on several levels and the pillars connected to each other maintain a firm and robust union.
- the construction system comprises the use of exterior enclosures each provided with a rectangular frame mounted between two consecutive exterior pillars of the construction.
- Said outer enclosures comprise panels articulated with each other and with respect to the rectangular frame, with the possibility of displacement between an opening position and a closing position of the space between the corresponding consecutive exterior pillars.
- these articulated panels move through guides in an automated manner, making it easy to regulate the interior environment of the construction.
- the enclosure forms a visor or canopy on the facade at each level or floor.
- the construction system comprises panels arranged perimetrically at the top of the construction and a horizontal protection cover. With these panels the image is prolonged cubic of the building and the exit hatches to the roof are hidden.
