Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for removing impurities from MG-Si using acid leaching for producing silicon for solar batteries. The present invention relates to a method for removing impurities from MG-Si using an acid leaching process, comprising the following processes: preparing a vessel selected from among a Pyrex beaker, a carbon vessel, an Al2O3 vessel, a Teflon vessel and an MgO vessel having high abrasion resistance to an acid solution; providing the prepared vessel with one or more acid solutions selected from HCl, HNO3, H2SO4, and HF which does not corrode MG-Si silicon; providing, to the inside of the vessel in which the acid solutions are provided, MG-Si such that the weight ratio of the silicon and acid solutions satisfies the ratio of 1:0.5 to 2; and keeping the MG-Si in the vessel at a preset temperature for a preset period of time, thereby removing impurities at an ion state from Si, wherein the impurities result from the interfacial reaction between the acid solutions and Si.
