Definitions
- the invention relates to a holding device for food with integrated pliers, which is designed in particular as Bratgut- or Backgutwender or lifter, with a flat support surface which is slidable for lifting the food under the food, and connected to the support surface handle for lifting the Support surface, the handle with the support surface form a first leg of the pliers and the holding device has a pliers-like clamping means in the form of one side connected to the handle clamping leg, which forms the corresponding second leg of the forceps and at its free end in the direction of the top Support surface has lowered clamping surface which forms two jaws of a gripping pliers with the support surface and in the lowered state relative to the support surface can be locked.
- Holding devices are generally as Bratgutwender from the DE 92 12 661 U known. These known Bratgutwender have the support surface in the form of a flat surface which is slidable under the food, so that this can be raised, for example.
- Another disadvantage is that especially if the fork would be provided on its front with a tip, a risk of injury exists. Finally, by moving the cooking utensils together in a drawer, the fork can be bent and thus the holding device can be damaged.
- a pliers-like household appliance in the ground state has two jaws, which are mutually engageable, wherein the two jaws are bent towards each other, so that there is a distance between the two jaws with a closed pliers in the central region.
- the upper jaw is rotatable, so that it can be aligned parallel to the lower jaw to form a pair of pliers with parallel jaws or a lever blade when the pliers is closed.
- This embodiment initially has the disadvantage that the forceps jaws are not flat, so can not form a shovel for pushing under particular break-sensitive food or can not be inserted without risk, for example, in an oven, as the device is recognized from above by the curvature of the jaws must and then be pushed forward under lowering.
- the upper part of the forceps jaw can also cut into the food and this damage, for example, in the case of a fried ice cream, a not yet baked baked good or a soft pancake, or destroy in the worst case.
- the disadvantage of the high package can be partially offset by a bevel of the jaws in the front area, but this just increases the risk that slightly bending the upper jaw or a closure-related game when closing the beveled upper jaw acts as a knife, which above-mentioned risk of damage additionally reinforced.
- the US 2 217 319 A also describes a roaster with a pincer function, here on the top of a fork-like jaw is provided which projects with two prongs in the direction of the blade down.
- This roaster has the disadvantage that the forceps jaw interferes with pushing under large food pieces, since it is then located above the blade.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a holding device for food, which is easy to store and use universally, in particular a gentle as possible under the food to be pushed blade with the support surface.
- the bearing surface in longitudinal direction parallel to the clamping surface has an elongated recess into which the clamping surface of the clamping leg is inserted, wherein the recess does not extend to the front edge of the support surface.
- the clamping surface can now be lowered not only on the support surface, but immersed in the recess, so that the clamping surface or the front portion of the jaw, which has the clamping surface, not or only slightly jumps from the surface of the support surface and so is no obstacle when the bucket with the support surface is pushed under the food.
- the recess has the shape of a pocket.
- the recess may also be continuous, ie have the shape of a window that penetrates the entire blade from top to bottom.
- the clamping surface and the remaining portion of the front jaw preferably has a similar shape as the recess, so that when the clamping surface is in the recess only a small gap remains, which is kept so small that the food can not sink into this gap, even if it is still comparatively soft.
- the latter is particularly useful when food with the blade to be raised, which are solidified later as a result of the cooking process, for example, not yet baked pastry or a not yet solidified fried egg.
- the blade is formed in collapsed holding both at the top of age and the bottom and the clamping surface or the lowered upper jaw no disturbing obstacle as a result of elevation, more preferably, the upper jaw can be easily unwound down and formed so elastic that it deforms in support on the support surface or other area of the arranged on the lower jaw jaw jaw and aligns by this deformation parallel to the blade or the support surface.
- the upper jaw can be formed in the region of the clamping surface, for example, as a slightly downwardly developed spring plate that threaded down when pressing the upper jaw on the blade in the recess and supported on the underside of the recess, thereby being deformed and in parallel to the blade, with the remaining area of the blade forming a flat surface, inserts into the recess.
- the recess is indeed formed throughout, but for example, has a lateral edge or other abutment on which the clamping surface can be supported with a rim.
- the locking device is adapted to hold the two jaws in the closed position, the tension applied thereby being sufficiently great to ensure the elastic deformation of the upper jaw.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a holding device which is easy and elegant to close and lock in the closed position, in particular the formation of a gap between the jaws, so the clamping surface on the one hand and the support surface on the other hand should be avoided.
- a holding device which is characterized in that the clamping surface, in particular in the longitudinal direction of the clamping leg relative to the support surface slidably formed and a closure device is provided to keep the gripping tongs lying on or in the support surface in a closed position with closed gripper can.
- the holding device is likewise designed like a pliers, wherein it has a bearing surface which, as is known, for example, by a roasting turner, can be pushed under food, so that the food can be lifted, for example.
- the lower nipper portion is provided with a front blade, the upper side has the support surface.
- the blade is according to the invention in terms of both tasks areally formed, that is, it has a flat, expanded width in the form, so that it is able to support soft foods. This does not exclude smaller gaps or holes for the passage or dripping of liquids, but then the remaining lands are significantly wider than the openings, for example at least 5 mm to 10 mm or more wide, with an exemplary thickness of the blade being 1 mm to 3 mm is.
- a clamping surface can be made against the support surface.
- the support surface is arranged at the end of the elongated handle, wherein at the opposite end of the handle this is connected to the likewise elongated clamping leg and the user can grip around the two pincer-like components with his hand. In this way, for example, the roasting turner is extended by the function of the forceps.
- Essential for the present invention is the fact that now the clamping surface can be lowered onto or into the support surface and is held there by a closure device.
- the clamping leg can be employed by way of an elastic restoring force against the support surface, so that it rests resiliently upon release of the closure device.
- This elastic force can for example be realized in that the clamping leg or its connection with the handle is designed to be elastically bendable.
- explicit design elements may alternatively be provided in complex configurations.
- the clamping surface is displaceable relative to the support surface. This may be a shift in any direction, with a shift in the longitudinal direction of the holding device being preferred. But also a shift across this direction is possible.
- By moving the closure device is activated. This means that a retaining edge on the support surface is engaged behind by an abutment edge on the clamping surface, when the clamping surface is displaced in the closed position and then the displacement of the clamping surface is carried out relative to the support surface.
- the holding device is designed so that before the displacement or after a return movement, the retaining edge does not collide with the abutment edge or disengage, so that the retaining edge is movable in a direction perpendicular to the abutment edge and can be moved past it.
- the holding device formed in this way can be used as a gripping pliers, wherein the two legs of the pliers are formed on the one hand by the handle and on the other hand by the clamping leg.
- the clamping leg On the clamping leg, the clamping surface is provided, together with the support surface forms the two jaws of the pliers.
- the invention does not differ from the aforementioned prior art.
- the retaining edge can be provided at the lower edge of the clamping surface, while the abutment edge can be arranged at the upper edge of the recess.
- This can be achieved in a particularly simple manner in that the front edge of the recess is chamfered from top to bottom and away from the handle.
- the front edge of the clamping surface from top to bottom, but beveled tapering on the handle.
- the above-mentioned geometry is only an exemplary embodiment, it is also possible that the relative movement between the clamping surface and the support surface is realized by a twisting or lateral displacement of one of the two components.
- the relative movement can be achieved by an elastic bending of the clamping leg, the handle and / or the connection between the two components.
- the support surface and / or the clamping surface may be mounted to be displaceable, for example, in the manner of a telescopic rod, which is then used as a handle or clamping leg.
- This displaceable mounting can be pressed by a spring in the closed position, so that the user for retraction of the clamping surface in the support surface, for example, in clamping leg via a small button has to retract something, so that the retaining edge can be moved past the abutment edge. Subsequently, the clamping surface then moves forward, so that the closure device is activated by the engagement of the abutment edge by the holding edge caused thereby.
- a conventional locking device can be used.
- This may for example be formed by a slide button, which is slidably mounted on one of the two jaws and has a protruding in the direction of the other jaw locking hook, which engages behind a arranged on this other jaw retaining edge in the closed position and can be released by moving.
- a holding device may be a clamping surface, which is rotatably arranged on the upper jaw. This can be used to transfer the clamping surface from a first position in which it can not be inserted into the recess in a second position in which the clamping surface can be inserted into the recess. This can be realized, for example, in that the axis of rotation of the rotatable clamping surface is not the symmetry axis of the clamping surface.
- the clamping surface on one side slightly or significantly further outwardly than on the opposite side. This causes that in a rotational position, the clamping surface is displaced laterally to the recess, while it is located in the other repression just above the recess and can be lowered into the recess.
- FIG. 1 is a three-dimensional view of a holding device according to the invention in a schematic view
- FIG. 2 shows the holding device of Figure 1 in a sectional view with a first embodiment of a locking device
- Fig. 3 shows the holding device of Figure 1 in a sectional view with a second embodiment of a locking device.
- a holding device which is formed here in the form of a roast turner. Like any conventional spatula, it has a handle 2, at the front end of a support surface 1 is arranged, which here has three back-to-front passages through which, for example, fat can drip down.
- These passages are shown by way of example only, the roaster can also take other forms, provided that the following function is still possible and in particular the support surface 1 is formed as a flat blade with a width that is relatively large in thickness.
- the passages are therefore to be regarded as a column for draining liquids which do not change the basic planar design of the support surface 1.
- the support surface 1 should therefore be able to fulfill the function of a spatula or support plate despite the passages and also engage under soft food and can support from below.
- the middle passage is formed here as a recess 7, so that the clamping surface 4 of the upper jaw jaw can be inserted into this recess 7 and forms together with the support surface 1 a flat blade for receiving the food.
- a feature essential to the invention is the fact that the recess 7 can receive the complete area of the upper jaw in the area of the clamping surface 4 and that the upper jaw above the clamping surface 4 is also flat, so that this upper portion of the jaw together with the rest of the area the blade surrounding the recess 7, a flat total support surface in the closed state of the holding device is formed.
- the device according to the invention can be locked in a variety of ways after squeezing the jaws. In principle, it would even be possible to completely dispense with a locking device 8 and to hold the jaws together by hand. It is advantageous, however, a locking device 8, which decreases the user this.
- a locking device is shown in a first embodiment in Figure 2 and a second embodiment in Figure 3. Both locking devices 8 can be easily used with the embodiment of the holding device shown in FIG.
- an additional clamping device which is formed by a clamping leg 3 and arranged at the front end of the clamping leg 3 clamping surface 4.
- the clamping device can be used to hold the resting on the support surface 4 food.
- the clamping device between the handle 2 and the clamping leg 3 is connected via an elastically bent strip of material with the handle 2. It is preferably a metal section, whereby plastic or another material can be used.
- the spring clip shown other elastic connections, for example a spring-loaded hinge joint or a common mounting in a rubber block can be used.
- the handles can also be displaceable relative to one another.
- the clamping leg 3 with the clamping surface 4 is formed so that it can be fixed to the corresponding support surface 1.
- the fixing of the two legs of the pliers can also take place via a slide switch or another locking device, which acts on the two legs or another section of the holding device moving toward one another when closing the pliers. Such an embodiment is shown in FIG.
- either the clamping leg 3 can be elastically deformed until the retaining edge 5 can spring back behind the abutment edge 6 due to the length shortening due to the curvature or the clamping leg 3 or the handle 2 can be designed such that it is possible is to draw the retaining edge 5 relative to the abutment edge 6 to the rear.
- This can be done, as in the embodiment shown, due to the elasticity of the Federblechabiteses between the handle 2 and the clamping leg 3.
- a projection can be arranged on the clamping leg 3 and / or on the handle 2, over which the user can apply the appropriate force with his fingers.
- the clamping leg 3 or the handle 2 may be telescopic rod-like and spring-loaded, so that one of the two components or both components are elastically retractable against the spring force, so that due to this retraction occurs a change in length. This makes it particularly comfortable to carry out the front clamping surface 4 with the retaining edge 5 through the recess of the support surface. 1
- the retaining edge 5 is arranged on the front edge of the clamping surface 4. If, for example, the clamping surface 4 should be formed in the front region with teeth to give her the function of a fork, the retaining edge 5 may be provided below the clamping surface on a separate component that, for example, parallel to a support surface for clamping surface 4 and is connected via a right angle to this holding surface arranged legs with the clamping surface 4.
- the clamping surface 4 is lowered from top to bottom on the support surface 1 and then locked on the forward or backward movement of the retaining edge 5.
- a rotational movement may be possible, so that the user must first, for example, the clamping leg 3 by passing through the recess in the support surface 1 a small piece to the right or left to rotate, so that by the elastic return spring force after threading the retaining edge 5 in the recess and behind the abutment edge 6, the clamping surface is then also held securely on the support surface 1.
- the clamping surface 4 and the support surface 1 after threading the retaining edge 5 under the abutment edge 6 a flat surface, so that it can be used as a normal surface for a roaster without disturbing edges protrude up or down.
- the support surface 1 is provided with a bevelled abutment edge 6, as best seen in Figure 2.
- the abutment edge extends slightly bevelled from the top back to the front, the clamping surface 4 in turn has a retaining edge 5, which is oriented in the opposite direction, so that the threading by sliding on the abutment edge 6 is facilitated.
- a significant advantage of the invention is that is avoided by the inclusion of the clamping surface 4 and lying in this area portion of the clamping leg 3 in the recess 7, that form a gap between the support surface 1 and the clamping leg 3 and the clamping surface 4 can.
- the clamping surface 4 only on the support surface 1 it may happen despite a ramp-like shape of the clamping leg 3 that, for example, by adhering dirt or food particles on the underside of the clamping surface 4 or by bending in the cutlery drawer no defined front edge longer exists which can be slipped under a soft food, such as a pancake or a fried egg, without damaging the food due to the gap then occurring. It is therefore important for the function of the invention that the closed device can be used spatula-like without opening at the front in a gap-like manner.
- Figure 3 shows an alternative embodiment of the locking device 8, which is designed here as a slide switch.
- the variant shown here is just one of many possible options.
- This control device 8 consists of a provided in the upper nipper area sliding element, which is slidably mounted here in the longitudinal direction.
- a lower, unwound hook extends through the nipper portion in the direction of the lower nipper portion, wherein here a passage opening is provided, through which the hook is able to pass through. If the hook is pushed backwards, it engages behind the edge of this lower passage opening and thus locks the closed pliers.
- this control device 8 ensures that the upper jaw with the clamping surface 4 is pressed down sufficiently far that it does not protrude above the plane of the support surface 1 or only with a region which, for example, by bevels, this is intended, jumps upwards.
- the locking device 8 should also be designed so that it is ensured that the clamping surface 4 does not extend through the recess 7 down in a manner that they from the lower level of the bucket protrudes downwards. Although this would possibly be bearable that usually the roaster is indeed placed on a stable bottom, so that the downward clamping surface 4 would be pressed by pressing the blade on this underside again, but this pressure would then also be exercised to to avoid that the area surrounding the clamping surface 4 of the blade is pressed by the spring pressure of the clamping surface 4 upwards and thus cuts laterally into the food.
- the clamping leg 3 and the lower leg of the holding device can be compressed like a pliers, wherein the front portion of the clamping leg 3 is formed so that it is inserted into the recess 7 by compressing such that a classic lifting blade of a roast turner results, wherein the recess 7 is arranged within a blade-like portion of the lower leg of the holding device.
- the jaws are formed in the case of the clamping leg 3 of the front portion with the clamping surface 4 and in the case of the lower leg of the blade-like front portion with the recess 7.
