Abstract

Disclosed is a helicopter-based cleaning device consisting of a helicopter (1), on or inside which a tank (2) containing a cleaning liquid as well as a holding frame (4) are mounted. An elongate washing lance (15) which allows the cleaning liquid to be transferred to the tip of the washing lance is mounted on a longitudinal side of the holding frame. A pump comprising a drive unit for delivering the cleaning liquid is also mounted on the holding frame. In the normal position of the helicopter (1), the bottom side of the tank (2) is at least partially inclined relative to the horizontal such that most of the remaining cleaning liquid collects on a relatively very small surface, the suction port of a tube or hose that is connected to the pump being arranged in the immediate vicinity of said surface.
