Abstract
The present invention provides modified polynucleotide sequences coding for human cytochrome P450 reductase, human cytochrome P450 and human cytochrome b5. Further a genetically modified protease deficient yeast strain comprising integrated modified human cytochrome P450 reductase gene is provided in the present invention. The present invention also provides a genetically modified protease deficient yeast strain comprising integrated modified human cytochrome P450 reductase gene and a plasmid comprising modified polynucleotide sequence coding for cytochrome P450s and/or modified polynucleotide sequence coding for cytochrome b5. The yeast strain(s) disclosed in the present invention have been shown to express catalytically active cytochrome P450s with higher specific activity.
