Abstract

Described herein are methods for inducing differentiation of stem cells into cardiomyocytes or other defined differentiated lineages by contacting the stem cells with Wnt3a or a functional fragment thereof. Also described herein are methods for treating patients with myocardial damage, e.g., after myocardial infarction or heart failure.
