Abstract
La présente invention concerne des techniques pour la classification posturale d’un patient dans un système de coordonnées d’un capteur. Selon un aspect, un vecteur défini est obtenu à partir d’un capteur placé de façon sensiblement fixe par rapport au patient. Le vecteur défini est décrit dans un système de coordonnées du capteur et indépendamment de l’orientation du capteur par rapport au patient. Un vecteur détecté est obtenu à partir du capteur qui est décrit à l’aide du système de coordonnées du capteur. Le vecteur détecté et le vecteur défini sont utilisés pour classer l’état postural du patient indépendamment de l’orientation du capteur par rapport au patient. Une réponse peut être initiée par un dispositif médical, ladite réponse pouvant consister en l’ajustement de l’administration du traitement.
