Abstract

La présente invention concerne des transposons piggyBac et des transposases de mammifère. Dans des modes de réalisation particuliers, les présents inventeurs ont identifié des variants de piggyBac de mammifère hyperactifs. Les transposons piggyBac et les transposases de mammifère peuvent être utilisés dans des systèmes de transfert de gènes pour introduire de façon stable des acides nucléiques dans l'ADN d'une cellule. Le système de transfert de gènes peut être utilisé dans des procédés, par exemple, sans s'y limiter, une thérapie génique, une mutagenèse par insertion, ou la découverte de gène.
