Abstract

A portable medical device for treating sebaceous glands diseases using a heat source combined with light irradiation. The device includes a housing capable of being gripped by a hand, a heating element disposed inside the housing and generating heat, a light source circuit having a light source emitting a wavelength of 400nm to 900nm, a temperature sensor detecting whether the internal temperature of the housing is between a lower limit T1 and a upper limit T2 and transferring the value to a control unit, a heating element control circuit unit for automatically re-heating the heating element when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is less than T1, and for automatically interrupting power supply to the heating element when the temperature is higher than T2, a control unit for controlling operation of internal circuits; and a rechargeable power supply for supplying electric power to the internal circuits.
