Abstract
明るい白表示、高コントラストの白黒表示及びフルカラー表示を、簡便な部材構成で実現することができる電気化学的な表示素子であって、対向電極間に電解質を含有し、対向電極の少なくとも一方に下記一般式(A)で表される化合物が固定化されており、かつ一般式(A)で表される化合物が固定化されている領域と固定化されていない領域の比率が1:4~4:1の範囲であり、かつ電解質に金属塩化合物を含有し、かつ該対向電極の駆動操作により、黒表示、白表示、黒以外の着色表示を行うことを特徴とする。 〔式中、R22は置換もしくは無置換のアリール基を表し、R23、R24は各々水素原子または置換基を表す。Xは>N-R25、酸素原子または硫黄原子を表し、R25は水素原子または置換基を表す。〕
