Abstract
情報記録層数が少ない旧規格の光情報記録媒体に対応している駆動装置でも再生可能とし、旧規格の光情報記録媒体にROM層又はR層を追加することにより記録容量を向上させるため、再生光の入射側から順に、透光層(10)、第1情報記録層(20)、中間層(30)、第2情報記録層(40)及び基板(50)が積層された構造となっており、第1情報記録層(20)がROM層又はR層であり、第2情報記録層(40)がRE層である。そして、第1情報記録層(20)は、透光性を有し、第1情報記録層(20)の再生光波長における反射率の値は、0.4%より大きく2.2%以下であり、ROM層又はR層である第1情報記録層(20)の第1情報記録領域には、再生光の入射方向に対して第2情報記録層(40)の第2情報記録領域と重ならない第1情報記録層認識エリアが存在している。
