Abstract

 光入射面から最も遠い第1情報記録面、光入射面から2番目に遠い第2情報記録面、及び第2情報記録面より光入射面側に位置する少なくとも1つの第3情報記録面を形成し得る多層光記録媒体に対して、レーザー光を照射して情報を記録する際に、第1情報記録面を除いた他の情報記録面の全てが、ブランク状態又は記録完了状態のいずれかである場合に、この第1情報記録面に対して情報を記録するようにした。これにより、記録用レーザー光のエネルギーを記録中に安定させ、記録品質を向上させる。
