Abstract

　本発明は、光源を含む表示装置とともに使用する赤外線通信用受信装置に受信される赤外光のデータ信号から、光源から発せられる赤外光に由来する突発性ノイズを、データ信号の強度を弱めることなく低減することを目的とする。 　液晶テレビ（３００）のランプ（３００ａ）の近傍に配置されたランプ用受光素子（１５）から出力される、ランプ（３００ａ）に由来する突発性ノイズの振幅を、データ用受光素子（１０）から出力されるデータ信号に含まれる、ランプ（３００ａ）に由来する突発性ノイズの振幅と同じにするために、ランプ用受光素子（１５）から出力される突発性ノイズの振幅の倍率を調整する。そして、突発性ノイズを含むデータ信号から、倍率調整された突発性ノイズを減算してデータ信号のみを残し、液晶テレビ（３００）に送信する。
