Abstract
The invention relates to a device for enabling the optical concentration of light beams falling on part of the device, called 'illumination or capturing surface or area (AI)' in another part of the device, called 'concentration surface or area (AC)'. The sensor or cell on which the concentrated light is to fall is located in the position defined by AC. Said optical system can be used in systems for generating electrical energy by the conversion of solar energy, a photovoltaic cell or similar device being located in AC or in any other assembly in which a very high light concentration can be obtained in a much smaller area (AC) than the surface on which the light (AI) falls. The device is especially useful in the generation of electrical energy from solar energy by means of high-concentration photovoltaic systems.
