Abstract

 本発明の目的は、平面性やヘイズに優れるセルロースエステルフィルムを提供すること、該セルロースエステルフィルム上にハードコート層を塗布する際の塗布ムラを低減し、かつ均一性を高め、光もれや正面コントラスト等の視認性に優れた光学フィルムを提供すること、及び該光学フィルムを有する視認性に優れた偏光板、液晶表示装置を提供することにある。  本発明の光学フィルムは、セルロースエステルフィルム上に少なくともハードコート層を有し、該セルロースエステルフィルムがフラノース構造もしくはピラノース構造の少なくとも1種を1個以上12個以下結合した化合物をエステル化したエステル化化合物を含有し、かつ該エステル化化合物がOH基の一部が残存しているエステル化化合物であることを特徴とする。
