Abstract

 光信号処理装置100は、光ファイバ110の出力端に配置された偏光子120と、光ファイバ110に入力する第1の励起光と第2の励起光を調整する偏光制御部130,140を備え、偏光制御部130,140は、第1の励起光と第2の励起光が偏光子に入力される際に、第1の励起光と第2の励起光の偏光方向を互いに直交させると共に、偏光子120の偏光主軸を基準として第1の励起光の偏光方向の角度と第2の偏光方向の角度との差が閾値以下となるように第1の励起光および第2の励起光の偏光状態を調整する。
