Abstract

L'invention vise à rendre une lampe à décharge compacte et à faire rayonner la lumière de manière isotropique. La lampe à décharge est une lampe à excimère ou une lampe à vapeur de mercure basse pression. Une unité d'émission de lumière par décharge d'une partie sphérique double concentrique (3) est agencée sur un côté de bordure d'une partie tubulaire (4) d'un tube droit plié double. La partie sphérique (3) peut être un sphéroïde double. Une électrode externe transmettant la lumière (36) est disposée sur l'extérieur d'une sphère externe (6). Une électrode interne (35) est disposée sur l'intérieur d'une sphère interne (5). Aucune électrode n'est disposée au niveau de la partie tubulaire (4). Une tension à fréquence élevée est appliquée entre les deux électrodes pour réaliser une décharge à barrière diélectrique ou une décharge capacitive à fréquence élevée. Etant donné que seule la partie sphérique (3) émet de la lumière, la lumière est rayonnée de façon isotropique.
