Abstract

The invention relates to a toroidal resilient seal (1) provided about an axis (Z) and having a first wing (2) extending in a free state in parallel to said axis (z), connected to a second wing (4) extending in a free state radially relative to said axis (Z). It is characterised in that said second wing (4) includes a first bearing surface (5) perpendicular to the axis (Z) in a free state, in that said first wing (2) includes on the side of said second wing (4) a second bearing surface (6) extending in a free state parallel to said axis (Z), and in that said seal (1) includes a recess (10) defined by the latter and by a fifth bearing surface (11) parallel thereto at the end of the second wing (4) which is closest to the latter, said second wing (4) including on the side opposite to said first bearing surface (5) a third bearing surface (7) extending in parallel to the latter.
