Abstract

Disclosed is a grape sap containing a large amount of resveratrol (3,5,4-trihydroxystilbene) whose many physiological activities and effects are known. A grape sap containing a large amount of resveratrol is produced by irradiating a branch of a grape tree with a proper dose of ultraviolet ray for a short period with an ultraviolet ray lamp or the like, and subsequently pruning the branch of the grape tree. The grape sap containing a large amount of resveratrol thus produced can be used as a raw material for a cosmetic, or can be used in a cosmetic without any modification.
