Abstract
The invention provides a process for the production of thermoplastic resin compositions by which a thermoplastic resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin and a cellulose nanofiber can be obtained; and a process for the production of moldings by using the composition. The thermoplastic resin composition can be obtained by mixing an aqueous dispersion of a cellulose nanofiber with a thermoplastic resin (such as polylactic acid resin) in an agitator. It is preferable that the agitator be provided with a mixing chamber and the water contained in the aqueous dispersion be vaporized by mixing to pressurize the inside of the mixing chamber. Further, moldings can be obtained by extrusion- or injection-molding the thermoplastic resin composition.
