Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Vergasung von festen feinkörnigen oder staubförmigen Brennstoffen unter Druck bei erhöhter Temperatur zur Herstellung eines Nutzgases mit Synthesegascharakter, wobei die festen und die gasförmigen Reaktionsprodukte durch jeweils separate Sammeleinrichtungen und Öffnungen aus dem Reaktor abgeführt werden und die flüssigen Reaktionsprodukte (5) direkt aus dem Reaktor in eine Wasser enthaltende Vorrichtung (9) überführt werden und dann durch eine Einrichtung zum Entspannen und Ausschleusen (10) aus dem druckdichten System ausgetragen werden können und die Sammeleinrichtung und Öffnung für die gasförmigen Reaktionsprodukte (6) auf der Reaktorinnenseite mit einer kragenförmigen Ausbuchtung (6a) versehen ist, hinter der die gasförmigen Reaktionsprodukte in im Wesentlichen vertikal abwärts gerichteter Strömung aus dem Reaktor geführt werden und unmittelbar hinter dem Reaktor in einem sogenannten Quenchrohr (8) mit einem Fremdgas (7) zur Abführung der inneren Energie gemischt werden, wobei die sich verfestigenden Schmelzen als Feststoffe durch Einwirkung der Schwerkraft in eine Wasser (14) enthaltende Vorrichtung geführt werden und aus dem Reaktor ausgetragen werden.
