Abstract
本願発明の排ガス浄化用触媒(1)は、基材(2)と、基材(2)を被覆すると共に酸素貯蔵材料とパラジウムとを含み、ロジウムを含んでいない下層(3)と、下層(3)を被覆すると共にロジウムとこれを担持した担体と含み、下層(3)と比較して酸素貯蔵能がより低い上層(4)とを具備する。本願発明の構造を採用すると、エンジンを始動した直後の状態とエンジンを継続的に稼動した状態との双方において、高い排ガス浄化効率を達成することが可能となると共に、低コストを達成することができる。
