Abstract
鉛成分を含有せず、希土類酸化物とフッ素を同時に含有するガラス系において、鉛ガラスに匹敵する遮蔽能力を有し、しかも表面硬度が高く可視域での透明性が極めて高いガラス組成物を提供すること。 酸化物基準の質量%で、Ln2O3(LnはLa、Y、Gd、Tb、Dy、Yb、Luからなる群より選択される1種以上を示す。)を1~85%、フッ素を0.1~20%含有し、150kVのX線に対する鉛当量が0.03mmPb/mm以上であるガラス組成物である。また、SiO2及び/又はB2O3及び/又はGeO2及び/又はP2O5の合計量を10~70%含有させることで、失透に対して安定で、表面硬度が高く透明性も放射線遮蔽能力も優れたガラス組成物を得ることができる。
