Abstract

Cette invention concerne un film à différence de phase, qui a été amélioré significativement en termes de capacité de maîtrise de la différence de phase, qui peut commander de manière satisfaisante la dépendance en fonction de la longueur d'onde de la différence de phase et qui peut permettre d'obtenir un angle de vision fortement élargi lorsqu'il est choisi dans un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides, et un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides présentant des performances améliorées, en particulier un angle de vision élargi. Le film à différence de phase utilise une structure qui possède simultanément un indice de biréfringence structurel et un indice de biréfringence orienté par les molécules. La structure, qui est une structure multicouche répétée permettant de développer un indice de biréfringence structurel, est une structure comprenant, comme unités constitutives, une couche présentant une anisotropie optique négative dérivée d'un indice de biréfringence orienté par les molécules présentant un indice de réfraction moyen différent et une couche possédant une anisotropie optique positive.
