Definitions

  • biosecurity Today, the management of biosecurity in livestock farms and / or farms is known to guarantee satisfactory sanitary conditions of animals, with biosecurity being understood as all those measures that aim to minimize health risks in a livestock farm, involving several zootechnical elements.
  • the present invention has been developed in order to provide a control and biosecurity procedure in livestock and farm facilities that solve the drawbacks mentioned above, also providing other additional advantages that will be apparent from the description that follows.
  • the Pathology Index (bird flu, foot and mouth disease, etc.) can be positively reduced in a livestock farm so that the cost of medicines is also reduced while reducing the risk of residues from such medicines in the meat of animals intended for human consumption, which minimizes the risk of being transported to the food chain. All this also implies an increase in the level of animal welfare as well as for the health of the operators working in the facility.
  • the biological and chemical analysis consists of a study of the microbiological quality of food for animals in which the load values of bacteria and fungi and the presence of mycotoxins are determined.
  • the aforementioned biological and chemical analysis also consists in analyzing the degree of sanitation of the water, its microbiological quality and the measurement of the concentration of nitrites, nitrates, sulfates, chlorides, phosphates and disinfectant substances without ruling out the value of hardness and pH .
  • the gas measurement is also carried out (NH3,

  • the biological control and safety procedure applied in a farm comprises firstly the collection of data (10) from the installation from the visual inspection and surveys that serve to determine the critical points and elements of risk to control. Subsequently, a collection of biological samples (20) from animals, feces, water (by mouth, rafts and effluents), food to be consumed by animals and surfaces of the installation site, such as floors, silos and pipes of fluids and feeds, measurement of gases present in the facilities, said collection being through the use of devices and elements well known to those skilled in the art.
  • the biological and chemical analysis (30) consists essentially of a study of the microbiological quality of food for animals in which the load values of bacteria and fungi and the presence of mycotoxins, the degree of microbiological sanitation of water and their physical-chemical quality are determined from the measurement of the concentration of nitrites, nitrates, sulfates, chlorides, phosphates and disinfectants, and the control (both in water, feces, feed or surfaces) of the presence of salmonella bacteria, which is one of the main zoonoses of food origin, commonly known as salmonellosis. It is important to carry out water quality control as it can interfere with the health of animals.
  • the gas concentration measurement (50) can also be carried out, prior to the report, in the enclosure of the installation to be treated, such as the level of ammonia (NH 3 ) and hydrogen sulfide (SH 2 ) that usually come from slurry generated by animals and that can cause irritation of the respiratory tract with the consequent predisposition to colonization of them by pathogenic microorganisms.
