Abstract

【課題】登録画像と検索画像から得られる特徴点配置間の変形の大きさが実際の画像取得条件では仮定されない大きさであっても、誤って一致であると誤って判定されることを防止する。 【解決手段】照合対象の画像から得られた特徴点に基づいて複数の特徴点の配置を計算し、その計算結果に基づいて幾何変換に関する不変量を要素とする特徴量を前記照合対象の画像毎にそれぞれ生成し、前記照合対象の画像の前記特徴量を用いて、前記照合対象の画像の特徴点配置同士が同一の特徴点配置であるかを照合する際に、少なくとも前記特徴量を生成する元となった各々の特徴点の配置を格納し、前記照合対象の画像の特徴点配置に基づいて幾何変換に関するパラメータを計算し、前記計算された幾何変換に関するパラメータを利用して前記照合対象の画像の特徴点配置同士が同一の特徴点配置であるかを検証する。
