Abstract
The invention relates to a recuperator burner (10) comprising a combustion chamber (11) and a recuperator head (12). A fuel (II) and primary combustion air (I) can be fed through the combustion chamber (11), are mixed with each other within the combustion chamber, and are partially burned in a precombustion process. The combustion chamber has a front end (11.1) having an outlet opening (11.2) for the pre-combusted mixture (III) of fuel and primary combustion air. The recuperator head at least partially surrounds the combustion chamber in the area of the front end, wherein there is a gap (13) between the combustion chamber and the recuperator head, through which additional combustion air (IV) can be fed after being preheated by a hot exhaust gas (V) of the burner. The additional combustion air is discharged through a passage in the region of the front end in order to subsequently react with the pre-burned mixture from the combustion chamber. A heat-resistant means (15) which is disposed at the outlet opening of the combustion chamber allows a heat flow (51) from the combustion chamber to the recuperator head in the area of the outlet opening to be reduced.
