Abstract

 被検者由来のサンプルにおいて、配列番号203~752で示される塩基配列からなる群より選択される、少なくとも1つの塩基配列又はその相補的配列における、各塩基配列の31番目に存在する一塩基多型のアレル及び/又は遺伝子型をin vitroで検出する工程(工程A)、ならびに、前記工程Aで検出されたアレル及び/又は遺伝子型を、配列番号203~752で示される塩基配列におけるハイリスクアレルを含むアレル及び/又は遺伝子型の少なくとも1つと比較する工程(工程B)を含む、緑内障リスクの有無の判定方法。本発明の方法により、サンプル上の本発明の一塩基多型のアレル又は遺伝子型を分析することにより、サンプル提供者の緑内障の進行リスクの高低を判定することができ、このリスクに基づきサンプル提供者は緑内障の予防措置を講じ、又は適切な治療を受けることができる。
