　産生する組成物中に占めるアドニキサンチン含有量が３５質量%以上、アスタキサンチン含有量が５質量％以上であるエリスロバクター属；１６ＳｒＤＮＡの塩基配列が、配列番号１に示す塩基配列か、又は配列番号1に示す塩基配列と９６％以上の相同性を有する塩基配列であるエリスロバクターＪＰＣＣ　Ｏ種；かかる細菌を培養して得られる細菌培養物；かかる細菌から採取された、アスタキサンチンを含有する組成物；かかる細菌を培養する工程を有するアスタキサンチンの製造方法。
