Abstract

 工作機械用スピンドル駆動機構5は、外周面に螺旋状のねじ溝11aが形成されるねじ軸11と、ねじ溝11aに対応する螺旋状のナット溝を内周面に備え、ねじ軸11の軸心周りにおける回転運動にともなってねじ軸11の軸線方向での往復運動が自在に構成されるボールねじナット12と、ボールねじナット12の外周面に固定設置されて界磁束発生源となる円筒形のインナーロータ22と、インナーロータ22に回転駆動力を与えるための回転磁界を発生する円筒形のアウターステータ23とから構成される中空モータ21と、一端側にアウターステータ23が固定設置されるとともに、他端側に工作機械用のスピンドル51が固定設置される筒形のケーシング31と、ケーシング31の軸線方向での往復運動を案内する外筒41と、を備える。このような構成によって、工作機械に用いられる改良されたスピンドル駆動機構を得る。
