Abstract

Provided are a liquid crystal panel, which contributes to thinning and has excellent optical characteristics, a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel at an extremely high manufacturing efficiency. The liquid crystal panel is provided with a first polarizer; a first optical compensation layer and a first negative C plate; a liquid crystal cell; a second negative C plate; and a second optical compensation layer and a second polarizer, in this order. The first optical compensation layer is arranged on the first negative C plate without having an adhesive in between. The second optical compensation layer is arranged on the second negative C plate without having an adhesive in between. The first optical compensation layer and the second optical compensation layer are coating layers which function as λ/4 plates each of which has a thickness of 0.3-3μm. The first negative C plate and the second negative C plate are coating layers each of which has a thickness of 0.5-10μm.
